Abstract

In 2020, the implementation of worship has changed the way from physical gathering to online worship. This is certainly a challenge for churches that are accustomed to direct worship and must get used to it. From the Bible, the text of Romans 12: 1-2 is the biblical foundation for worship. This article aims to look at the effectiveness of online worship based on Romans 12: 1-2. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a grammatical-historical approach. Based on the research conducted, worship actually talks about everyday life. Regarding online worship, online worship is a way to fellowship with God. Because online worship has the same essence as worship for physical gatherings, it is necessary to be serious in carrying out worship online.

Abstract

Abstract Suffering is something that is part of human life. This means that everyone must experience suffering. Suffering referred to can be in various kinds such as illness, economic hardship, discrimination, psychological pressure and others. Peter wrote suffering in the text of 1 Peter 4: 12-19. In this text, Peter is encouraging the congregation to endure the suffering they are experiencing. This research is a qualitative research with a grammatical historical approach. In this research, a study of the text of 1 Peter 4: 12-19 was conducted to find the original meaning of the suffering that Peter intended. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the suffering referred to by Peter is suffering because of faith in Christ. As such, it is important for believers today to properly understand suffering as something that is normal for humans to face and is under God's sovereignty.

Abstract

Job is a picture of a godly man who experienced suffering. In his suffering, Job also received accusations from his friends that he had sinned so that God gave him suffering. Bildad was one of his friends who gave a strong rebuke to Job to seek and seek God's mercy. In achieving the objectives, this research uses qualitative research methods. The approach used is historical grammatical. Bildad's rebuke is based on the understanding of the ancient tradition that Suffering and sin are inseparable. Likewise with the other two friends, Eliphaz and Zophar, who saw Job's suffering more as a consequence of the sins he had committed. Unlike Job, who has the concept of God as a creative person with his works and is fully sovereign in human life. This difference is the basis of the long dialogue between Job and his friends.

Abstract

Abstract : In today's pluralistic society, moderation is an interesting subject to discuss. Maluku is a pilot area in terms of religious moderation. The implementation of moderation in Maluku can run optimally because it is based on various local wisdoms, one of which is Pela Gandong. The method used in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of journal articles published in 2018-2022. In the study, there were three research questions, namely whether Pela Gandong has a role in moderating Muslims and Christians in Maluku? What factors influenced Pela Gandong to play a role in moderating Muslims and Christians in Maluku? What is the form of moderation in Islam and Christianity in Maluku in Pela Gandong? The results obtained from this study are that Pela Gandong has a role in moderating Muslims and Christians in Maluku. The cause of the strong role of Pela Gandong in religious moderation in Maluku is because Pela Gandong itself is a bond of brotherhood that has been built since ancient times. Regarding form, Pela Gandong in religious moderation in Maluku is brotherhood between two countries (village) which is formulated in the form of an agreement where both parties must agree and may not violate one another. Abstrak: Dalam kehidupan masyarakat yang majemuk pada masa kini, moderasi merupakan pembahasan yang menarik untuk diperbincangkan. Maluku merupakan daerah percontohan dalam hal moderasi beragama. Pelaksanaan moderasi di Maluku dapat berjalan optimal karena didasarkan pada berbagai kearifan lokal yang salah satunya adalah Pela Gandong. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap artikel jurnal yang terbit pada tahun 2018-2022. Dalam penelitian terdapat tiga research question yakni apakah Pela Gandong memiliki peranan dalam moderasi beragama Islam dan Kristen di Maluku? Faktor apakah yang mempengaruhi Pela Gandong dapat berperan dalam moderasi beragama Islam dan Kristen di Maluku? Bagaimana bentuk dalam moderasi beragama Islam  dan Kristen di Maluku dalam Pela Gandong? Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah Pela Gandong memiliki peranan dalam moderasi beragama Islam dan Kristen di Maluku. Adapun penyebab dari begitu kuat peranan Pela Gandong dalam moderasi beragama di Maluku disebabkan Pela Gandong itu sendiri sebagai ikatan persaudaraan yang sudah terbangun sejak zaman leluhur. Mengenai bentuk, Pela Gandong dalam moderasi beragama di Maluku adalah persaudaraan antar dua negeri (desa) yang dirumuskan dalam bentuk perjanjian di mana kedua pihak harus menyepakati dan tidak boleh melanggar satu sama lain.
