Abstract

In this modern era pesantren are required to modernize every aspect of the educational aspects especially with the purpose of pesantren able to compete with other institutions both in quality and quantity of education quality. This condition occurs in Pesantren Darul lughah Wal Karomah that change patterns towards modern education. The purpose of this research includes the history of the modernization of education and how the modernization of education pesantren in Darul lughah Wal Karomah.This research used a qualitative approach, whereas other types of research using case studies. The collection of data by observation, interviews, documentation. Analysis of the data by (1) Collection of Data (2) Reduction of Data (3) Presentation of Data (4) Withdrawal of Conclusion. Data validity checking with (1) credibility (2) transferability (3) Dependability (4) Confirmability. Results of this study showed that the old teaching system that is maintained tends to lag, and the demands of a society increasingly complex and varied. While the form of modernization of education include institutional aspects, curriculum, learning and functional aspects of pesantren. Modernization of the institutional aspects, ie from individual leadership (scholars) to a collective system (foundation) with a clear division of labor. In the aspect of the curriculum, the introduction of a curriculum created by Kemdikbud and Kemenag. In the aspect of teaching, namely from system to system halakah classical / schooling by teaching methods that apply to modern educational institution, such as a lecture, question and answer, discussion, demonstration, drama, recitation, and teamwork.

Abstract

As Caliph (khalifah) in this earth, human beings are not only entrusted to keep, take care, and maintain the prosperity of this nature but also required to be just in all affairs. The establishment of this noble morals and ethics is supposed to be the goal of education. However, what happens nowadays is the opposite, the crisis of education and the lack of attention to the morals and ethics in education. Actually, ethical aspect in Islamic education is not a taboo thing, because it has been widely expressed by experts such as al-Ghazali, Ibn Miskawaih, Syaikh al-Zarnuji, and so forth. Therefore, the writer is interested to rediscover the educational thought of K.H Hasyim Asy’ari in his book, Adab al-Alimwaal-Muta'alim, under the sub-focus of KH. Hasyim Asy’ari’s view on the ethics of Islamic education and the concept of learner’s ethics.This research was conducted by using library research with descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection is performed by collecting the existing data through books, documents, magazines and the internet (website).The data were thenanalyzed so that the researchers could find the concluding ideason the subject studied. Data were analyzed using induction, deduction and comparison approach. This research concluded that according to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, learners should be knowledgeable and true. It means to have an attitude which suits the principles or values of education in Islam. The more specific concept to be performed is the way to behave to themselves, teachers, the lessons and books. In this sense, KH. Hasyim Asy’ari does not mention the specific lessons to be given in accordance with the talents, interests, and abilities of the learners.

Abstract

This research aims to provide alternative ideas in overcoming exclusive religious practices that seem to be influenced by religious learning methods in schools that have not been able to change and form inclusive attitudes in students. The significance of efforts to restructure the elements of Islamic education that have an inclusive-multicultural orientation, especially in designing the curriculum, the characteristics of educators, and the efficiency of learning methods. This research is a type of desk research, based on a theoretical-philosophical study of various literatures on the concept of education that engages and sharpens the analysis and promotes the researcher's theoretical sensitivity when examining the concept of more creative inclusive education and its application through the Islamic education curriculum. The results of this study show that Islam as a practice of inclusive education through curriculum and competent teachers. Inclusive religious education, emphasizing the importance of developing an understanding of diversity, can be an effective model in transforming religious education in Indonesia's diverse society. Inclusive religious education also acts as a religious learning tool that contributes to the formation of learners' moderate attitudes.
