Abstract

Abstract: The Use of Contextual Approach in Improving Poem Writing Ability at The Fifth Grade Elementary School. The purposes of this research was to improve poem writing ability the fifth graders elementary school by using contextual approach. This research was conducted in three cycles consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were students and teacher. The source data were the teacher, students, observers. Data collection techniques using test, observation, and interviews. Validity data using triangulation techniques and triangulation sources. Analysis of the data used in this research was interactive descriptive. The results of this research showed that the use of contextual approach can improve poem writing ability the fifth graders elementary school. Keyword: approach, contextual, poem writing ability Abstrak: Penggunaan Pendekatan Kontekstual dalam Peningkatan Kemampuan Menulis Puisi Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar dengan pendekatan Kontekstual. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah guru, siswa, dan observer. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan pendekatan Kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar.   Kata kunci: pendekatan, kontekstual, kemampuan menulis puisi
