Abstract

The purpose of this study is describing the characters, plot, and theme in the drama Awal and Mira. This research uses the library research. Data are taken from the elements of the story of Awal and Mira drama script by Utuy Tatang Sontani. The data of this research are analysed by the qualitative descriptive techniques and objective approach. George R. Kernodle's structural approach is used as a foothold in analyzing the drama scripts Awal and Mira by Utuy Tatang Sontani. The results shows that there are seven characters in Awal and Mira drama they are, Awal, Mira, Si Baju Putih, Si Baju Biru, Wartawan, Juru Potret, and Ibu Mira. The plot of the drama is single plot. The main theme of Awal and Mira drama is love which needed honest and trust.
