Abstract

West Sumatra-Indonesia has potential to plant coconut due to the coastal location, sunshine level with average temperature 27oC. Coconut is a very productive plant. Coconut dehusking is one of the process that takes a lot of time and energy. Most of the farmer still using human manual labour with the help of tools made of iron or wooden crowbar that is mounted standing vertically with the blade facing upward about 80 cm from the ground. To increase the number of coconut products, it is designed the coconut dehusker machine. The main component of the machine were two rollers that rotate each other in opposite directions with each roller embedded iron-shaped nails that work to tear the coconut husk. Each roller has a different rotational speed. This machine has dimensions of 98 cm x 51 cm x 95 cm. Roller length is 50 cm and diameter 4 inches. The power source of the machine is a 2 HP electric motor, the speed was reduced by using 2 speeds reducer with the ratio of 1:20 and 1:30 respectively. From the performance test of this machine can dehusk 100 coconuts per hour. The operational basic cost of the machine equal to Rp 129.89 per coconut (about 1 cent) and Break Event Point is 12.387 coconut per year from the result of the performance test. From the economic analysis machine can be concluded that the use of this machine is better when compared to human labour which has limitation to duration and capacity.

Abstract

Abstract

Terakhir dilakukan analisa ekonomi. Hasil uji kinerja alat perontok kacang tanah semi mekanis tipe vertikal diperoleh kapasitas alat 22 kg/jam, rendemen 41% persentase kacang tidak terontok 4.44%, presentase buah rusak 4.66% dan laju pengumpanan 58 kg/jam. Hasil analisa ekonomi teknik diperoleh break event point (BEP) pengoperasian alat input 284 kg/tahun dan break event point (BEP) pengoperasian alat output 408,60 kg/tahun.

Abstract

Efficient and integrated information systems are essential for managing healthcare services, including patient data, laboratory results, and radiology records. This study presents the development of Vidyamedic, a web-based healthcare information system designed to streamline healthcare data management. The system was developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front end and PHP with the Laravel framework for the back end. The development process adopted the Scrum framework, an Agile methodology that supports iterative and adaptive system development. The project was completed over eight weeks, divided into four sprints. Each sprint spanned two weeks or 10 working days. A total of 14 development tasks were completed by a team of four members. Key Scrum activities included product backlog creation, sprint planning, and the use of burndown charts to monitor progress and identify performance trends during development. System validation was conducted through black-box testing to ensure that each feature operated according to user requirements, without evaluating the system's internal structure. The resulting application provided role-based dashboards tailored for physicians, laboratory administrators, radiology administrators, and queue administrators. The findings demonstrate that Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, can be effectively applied in the healthcare sector to develop reliable and adaptable information systems that improve healthcare data management.
