Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mengevaluasi kualitas ransum Itik Magelang pada pemeliharaan intensif maupun semi intensif terhadap bobot badan dan produksi telur. Ternak yang digunakan berupa Itik Magelang sebanyak 40 ekor terdiri atas 20 ekor (intensif) dan 20 ekor (semi intensif). Metode penelitian secara experimental farm melalui survey lokasi peternakan, pemeliharaan Itik Magelang (intensif dan semi intensif), serta evaluasi produksi.  Parameter yang diukur yaitu kualitas ransum, bobot badan dan produksi telur Itik Magelang. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan nyata, antara kualitas ransum pemeliharaan intensif dengan semi intensif terhadap bobot badan dan produksi telur Itik Magelang. Rataan bobot badan Itik Magelang pada pemeliharaan intensif lebih tinggi sebesar 1,90 kg dibandingkan semi intensif sebesar 1,72 kg.  Produksi telur itik Magelang pada pemeliharaan intensif lebih tinggi sebanyak 347 butir dibandingkan pemeliharaan semi intensif sebanyak 125 butir.  Dapat disimpulkan ransum Itik Magelang pada sistem pemeliharaan intensif memiliki kualitas lebih tinggi dari ransum pada sistem pemeliharaan semi intensif. Kualitas ransum pada sistem pemeliharaan intensif itik Magelang akan berdampak positif pada peningkatan bobot badan dan produksi telur yang dihasilkan jika dibandingkan dengan sistem pemeliharaan semi intensif.Kata Kunci: Itik Magelang, intensif, semi intensif, bobot badan, produksi telur.

Abstract

This research was aimed to evaluate the use of surimi waste powder and ketchup dregs powder as main material of milk replacer for dairy goat based on carbohydrate digestibility and total gas production. The research was held experimentally using in vitro method. Material used in the research was rumen fuilds taken from abbatoir Sokaraja, immediatelly after slaughter. Experimental design used completely randomized design (CRD) for carbohydrate digestibility with 4 treatments and replicate 5  times each. The results showed that the  milk replacer has a significant effect on carbohydrate digestibility and total gas production (P <0.01). The research concludes that milk-based replacer of surimi waste powder and ketchup dregs powder has not been able to replace pure goat milk, because its carbohydrate digestibility is low and total gas production is unstable at the beginning and end of observation.Key words : dairy goat, milk replacer, surimi waste powder, ketchupdregs powder
