Abstract

The development of learning devices and teaching materials is essentially the development of short-term learning tools to estimate or project what will be done in learning activities. The development of learning tools and teaching materials are translated from syllabus or RPP to direct students' learning activities in an effort to achieve Basic Competency. This research is descriptive qualitative researchers with data collection techniques, namely: (1). Observation Technique; (2). Interview technique; and (3). Documentation techniques. As for the purpose of this study to find out the development of learning devices and teaching materials at MTs Al-Khairat.  Kota Ternate and to find out the factors that influence the development of learning devices and teaching materials. The results of this study indicate that the development of learning devices and teaching materials at MTs Al-Khairat. Kota Ternate are as follows: (1). learning devices and teaching materials at MTs Al-Khairat Kota Ternate in using educational unit level curriculum. But in the study of compost and its substance there are some teachers who have not understood substantially. Without formulation and indicators that have been set in the development of learning devices; and (2) In the development of learning devices and teaching materials at MTs Al-Khairat.  Kota Ternate begins with an analysis of subject matter in accordance with standards and compotency expected in the formulation of the development of learning tools namely (RPP) and syllabus, where teachers are still experiencing difficulties. This is due to the lack of involvement of teachers in developing their competence or training in developing teaching materials / learning devices. Keywords: Development, Teaching Materials, MTs Al-Khairat  Kota Ternate

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1). Peran guru PPKn dalam membentuk karakter siswa SMAN I Kota Ternate, 2) Kendala yang dihadapi guru PPKn dalam membentuk karakter siswa SMAN I Kota Ternate. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan atau field research dimana peneliti terjun langsung ke lapangan untuk memperoleh data dan informasi terkait dengan penelitian yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk menggambarkan suatu proses yang terjadi di lapangan. Sedangkan pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan: observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan Model Miles and Huberman, yang terdiri dari: reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (data display) dan verifikasi (conclusion drawing). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran PKn berbasis karakter di SMA N 1 Kota Ternate perencanaan pembelajaran baik, hanya guru masih sedikit kesulitan dalam menetapkan nilai-nilai karakter dan pengembangan bahan ajar tetapi kondisi seperti ini masih bisa diatasi. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis karakter sudah sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan kognitif dengan pembelajaran dibagi dalam tiga tahapan, eksplorasi, elaborasi dan Konfirmasi menurut pendapat guru, peserta didik, orang tua peserta didik dan stakeholders bahwa nilai karakter yang sudah membudaya adalah nilai religius dan nilai disiplin.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze (1) the implementation of academic supervision of the principals of public high school in Ternate; (2) the obstacles are faced by the principals of public high school in Ternate in carrying out academic supervision and (3) the principals' have an efforts to overcome the obstacles in implementing academic supervision in Public High Schools in Ternate. The approach in this research is qualitative. Data sources: principals, teachers and students. The results of this study indicate that (1) the implementation of academic supervision by the principal of a public high school in Ternate carried out simultaneously according to their functions and roles as supervisors. Activities carried out by school principals as supervisors include developing and strengthening teacher competency capacities within the scope of curriculum development, teaching and learning processes, solving teaching difficulties, teacher mediation in solving teacher and student problems in schools, (2) the obstacles are faced by the principals of  public high school in Ternate to implementing academic supervision is the limited time for the principal in escorting and fostering teachers during the implementation of learning in the classroom, limited school facilities and infrastructure . In addition, some teachers are reluctant to be supervised, they view that supervision is still considered as an effort to reveal the weaknesses of teachers in carrying out their duties and (3) an effort to overcome obstacles in the implementation of academic supervision by principals of public high school in Ternate is to carry out academic strengthening, such as training to increase teachers’ Professional competence and pedagogical teachers in order to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze (1) how to instill democratic values in Civics learning at SMP Negeri 7 Kota Ternate. (2) What factors hinder the instillation of democratic values in Civics learning at SMP Negeri 7 Kota Ternate. The approach used in this study is qualitative. Data sources of School Principals, Curriculum affairs, Student affairs, Public Relations affairs, Civics teachers and students The results in this study show (1) The instillation of democratic values in Civics learning at SMP Negeri 7 Ternate City is the democratic value of tolerance, the democratic value of respecting differences, the value of open democracy in communicating, the value of confident democracy, the democratic value of responsibility, the democratic value of cooperation, the democratic value of togetherness and the democratic value of obedience. (2) What factors hinder the instillation of democratic values in Civics learning at SMP Negeri 7 Kota Ternate are factors from within the students themselves lack of motivation to learn Civics subjects, environmental influence factors also affect students' attitudes to learn Civics subjects, factors of lack of attention from parents of students studying at school and at home.

Abstract

Instilling religious character values is an important part in shaping the personality of students with noble and responsible character. Pancasila and Citizenship Education Teachers (PPKn) have a strategic role in instilling these values through the learning process and example. This study aims to describe the role of PPKn teachers in instilling religious character values in students at SMA Negeri 5 Ternate City and identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that PPKn teachers at SMA Negeri 5 Ternate City play a role as facilitators, motivators, and role models in fostering students' religious character, such as faith values, tolerance between religious communities, honesty, and discipline. These values are instilled through integration in subject matter, religious habituation activities in schools, and through a personal approach to students. However, there are several obstacles faced, such as the lack of parental participation, the influence of the environment outside the school, and limited time in the learning process. This study recommends the need for collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents in supporting the strengthening of students' religious character in an ongoing manner.
