Abstract

This research entitled “Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension Through SQ3R Technique”. This research has purpose to figure out the use of SQ3R strategy in improving students’ reading comprehension. The population of this research is students of SMA Negeri 1 Cipongkor including eleventh grade of IPS class and IPA class. The number of population is 60 students. The sample of this research is only one class that is IPS class consists 30 students. The quantitative research method is used in this research, and specifically the one group pre-test post-test design as research design. The instrument of this researches is pretest and posttest and the writers also use t-test formula for collecting data.  The result of the research shows that tobs is 2.42, the ttable with degrees of freedom (df) 29 and level of significance at 0.05 was 1,69. Based on the data, the t-test result was 2.42, it was higher that t-table (2.42 > 1.69). It means the alternative hypothesis was accepted. According to the data analysis which is collected, it can be concluded that the test is reliable. And the research showed that teaching students’ reading comprehension using SQ3R technique is very useful. That is why, the SQ3R strategy is suitable in improving students’ reading comprehension.Keywords:  Reading, Reading Comprehension, SQ3R Strategy

Abstract

Pemodelan desain Pit bulanan di PT Cahaya Riau Mandiri merupakan salah satu kegiatan jangka pendek. Data yang perlu dipersiapkan dalam pembuatan desain yaitu peta topografi situasi terbaru, kontur struktur batubara dan parameter teknis dalam pembuatan pit, desain pit dibuat pada bulan Juni 2023. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat pemodelan desain pit berdasarkan parameter geometri lereng yang sudah ditetapkan oleh perusahan dan menghitung Volume Batubara dan Overburden dari desain pit dengan menggunakan software minescape 5.7. dengan produk open cut. Dalam pembuatan model desain Pit bulanan di PT Cahaya Riau Mandiri menggunakan software minescape 5.7 dengan produk open cut. Hasil perhitungan desain pit bulan Juni didapatkan luas area sebesar 5,3 Ha dengan bottom pit berada di elevasi ± 30 Mdpl dengan top pit berada pada elevasi ± 90 volume dari desain pit yang di buat pada bulan juni didapatkan overburden sebesar 411.774 bcm dan 80.592 ton untuk batubara dengan nilai stripping ratio (SR) sebesar 5:1 dengan slop banch 45°.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of quicklime content treatment using the dissolved and sprinkled method, in the treatment of acid mine drainage at PT Unirich Mega Persada. The research method used is a case study with quantitative experimental research, where the sample consists of lime content of 0.1 gram, - 1 gram. There are also samples of 21 liters of acid mine water, 10 liters of water for the dissolved method, 10 liters of water for the sprinkled method and 1 liter of water to determine the pH of acid mine water without quicklime treatment.So the results of this research obtained a pH value of 6-10.5 with a lime content of0.1 gram/liter -1 gram/liter, with a lime requirement of 25.5 kg/m3 for the dissolved method, there is also a pH value of 5-9.6 with a lime content of 0.1 gram/liter -1 gram/liter, with a lime requirement of 76.5 kg/m3 for the sprinkled method. From the results of the pH values of the 2 methods of using lime to neutralize acid mine water, both can actually increase the pH. However, with the same lime content, we found a more effective pH value with a low lime content of 0.1 gram/liter, namely the pH 6 dissolution method.

Abstract

Coal mining in Indonesia generally employs an open-pit mining system, where overburden—consisting of soil or rock layers that cover the coal seam—must be removed first. In the coal mining process, there are several layers of earth: the first layer includes topsoil and subsoil, the second consists of sand and overburden, and the final layer is coal. Overburden is considered a non-valuable material that must be excavated from the pit in order to access and extract the coal. This research aims to calculate the weekly volume of overburden in Pit 72 using RTK (Real Time Kinematic) equipment and Surpac 6.3 software. Weekly surveys were conducted to collect coordinate data (X, Y, Z), which were then processed in Surpac 6.3 to generate volume area calculations. The results show variations in the overburden volume moved each week, with a total area of 181,903.00 m² and a total overburden volume of 351,141.00 BCM over one month of observation. When compared to the monthly overburden production target of 375,000.00 BCM, the actual realization falls short. Weather conditions, haul road quality, and equipment efficiency are the main factors affecting production performance. This study demonstrates that the use of RTK and Surpac 6.3 provides more accurate and efficient measurement results compared to manual methods. This evaluation is essential for decision-making in mine progress management. Therefore, weekly volume calculations are highly valuable for monitoring production targets and enhancing the operational efficiency of the mine

Abstract

Every company wants all its equipment or machinery operating in optimum condition, so that the necessary maintenance activities to fulfill that desire. Management of maintenance activities to be hard to do when the equipment or machines owned by increasingly numerous and complex, and activities increase the number of machines or equipment routinely performed. Therefore needed a system to manage maintenance activities quickly, especially in administration of maintenance of machine or equipment are handled. This program has the ability to manage personal data engines, machinery or equipment maintenance scheduling, managing work instruction sheet, a history of the machine, the data parts, data managing maintenance activities, Preventive maintenance and expense reports. System maintenance is made by using a computer-based information system maintenance. In making the program used Microsoft Visual  Basic 6.0 and used for the purpose of Microsoft Access database.
