Abstract

Material plays an important role in the construction of a house because it becomes a constituent element for the establishment of a building. Sitinggil Dago Residence which is located on Jalan Dago Giri, Bandung, West Java is a house that has two functions. This house is interesting because overall it uses used wood as a structural and construction material by accentuating the structure of the building which is left as it is without finishing. The method used in this research is a descriptive analytical-qualitative method by observing the structure and construction of used wood on roofs, columns, and beams as well as the foundation as a base which is then compared with the theory and standardization of the use of wood in buildings. The results of this study show that used wood can still be reused for structures and construction on roofs, columns, and beams in residential buildings.

Abstract

Cikapayang River Park’s pedestrian area that’s less organised from ecological and environmental side. New cikapayang River Park aims to provide comfortable public space while utilizing river as mutually interconnected supporting component. Outer space Environmental order includes environmental order against outer order, Merdeka street corridor which’s restricted by Cikapayang river, Bandung City Hall, Cikapayang River and Merdeka street, also Cikapayang river purification. Previously, Cikapayang River Park’s a single function as sidewalk, after revitalization, it has additional function as better public open spaces also Cikapayang river restoration became basis of this research. Analytical descriptive method used as methodology through direct survey to Cikapayang River Park from changing environmental order into public open space, then associating survey results conditions, before and after revitalizing to literature as basis of theories and river purrification. Analysis results showed impact of revitalization on Cikapayang River Park’s creating positive outdoor space, so it can accommodate the people activities.

Abstract

Warung Salse is located in Dago Giri Bandung, West Java, is a public building built on contoured ground. The criteria for the material used are light material, do not increase the carrying capacity of the soil and do not cause subsidence. The structure of Warung Salse adjusts to the shape of the building mass and the conditions of the ground contour so that the roof has a multifunctional role as a roof and wall covering with a sloping portal structure, seen from its shape that reaches the ground in front and shrinks behind following the view of the Warung Salse area. The research was conducted using descriptive analysis method, discussing structures with mass associated with mass order theory, mass form, roof structures, columns, beams, and structures on contoured soil. From the final result it will be known the shape of the building mass and the structural model of the contoured soil.

The various types of aesthetic elements on the facade of St. Yusuf 's Church are categorized into three parts, namely the head, body, and legs which are then influenced by architectural styles. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive analysis method by tracing the aesthetic elements on the facade of the building against the theory of architectural style. The results of the study showed that several types of aesthetic elements on the facades of Church buildings were included in colonial styles, indische empires, Romanesque with gothic and art deco touches.
