Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was intended to reveal what the students’ learning motivation by applying Everyone is A Teacher Here (ETH) active learning strategy accompanied with Icebreaker was and whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using ETH active learning strategy accompanied with Icebreaker was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research. The population of the research was the students in class VII of SMPN 2 Pariaman. The instruments of the research were questionnaire and posttest. The data gotten then was analyzed by using t-test. Based on the result of data analysis it was found that the two sample classes were normally distributed and homogenous. Furthermore, the result of t-test showed that the value of tcalculated was higher than ttable. Thus it was concluded that the use of Everyone is A Teacher Here (ETH) active learning strategy could motivate the students to learn.

Abstract

Dalam Mata Kuliah Teknik Penyehatan, penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis slide presentasi sederhana yang didominasi tulisan kurang menarik minat mahasiswa, sehingga motivasi belajar rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan multimedia interaktif sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran, khususnya pada materi sumber dan pengolahan air bersih. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development dengan model 4D (define, design, develop, disseminate). Produk dikembangkan menggunakan Microsoft PowerPoint yang dipadukan iSpring Suite, dikemas dalam tautan web untuk akses fleksibel, mencakup lima materi utama: sumber air lingkungan, sumber air minum, pengolahan air laut dan hujan, pengolahan dengan saringan pasir, serta pengolahan modern dan distribusi. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan kelayakan tinggi: materi (84,8%), media (96,5%), dan bahasa (91,1%). Respon mahasiswa mencapai 89,2%, menunjukkan penerimaan positif. Multimedia interaktif ini efektif meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa dalam Teknik Penyehatan.
