Abstract

Clean water is a fundamental need for every kind of activities. ITERA as a university with various kind of learning activities cannot be separated from the need for clean water. Along with the rapid development of the campus, ITERA also requires a plan in order to provide clean water, one of which is by conducting a study of borehole construction design. This study was conducted because groundwater is one of the largest providers of clean water and must be managed properly. This study examines the shape of the construction and the right location of the filter on the borehole by looking at the geological and hydrogeological conditions and the position of the aquifer. Based on the study conducted, the geological conditions of the study area are in the Lampung Formation with the dominance of Tuff lithology. The position of the aquifer is found at a depth of 6.8 meters. Thus, the location of the filter in making bore wells should be at a depth of 20-25 meters and 40-50 meters. The filter made at these two depths is an anticipatory step if the groundwater drought during the dry season. Keywords: ITERA, clean water, aquifer, bore wells.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mineral content and crystal structure of schist rocks in South Lampung. The method used in this research is the X-ray diffraction method to see the lattice parameters and the crystal structure of the schist rocks. Based on data processing, information was obtained that two main minerals were found, namely quartz and albite minerals. In conclusion, the Albit minerals found in the two samples of rock crystal schists in South Lampung have the same crystal structure and lattice parameters, while the quartz minerals from the two samples have different crystal structures and lattice parameters. Abstract

Air bersih menjadi kebutuhan dasar yang harus disediakan di Institut Teknologi Sumatera (ITERA). Kondisi geologis ITERA berada pada daerah dengan batuan piroklastik di atasnya, batuan tersebut memiliki sifat impermeabel. Hal ini meyebabkan air di permukaan sukar mengalir ke bawah permukaan. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan kajian awal bawah permukaan dengan melakukan pengukuran sifat kelistrikan batuan menggunakan metode geolistrik konfigurasi Schlumberger untuk mencari potensi air bersih di ITERA. Data hasil pengukuran diolah dengan menggunakan Ms. Excel dan dimodelkan menggunakan software IPI2win. Hasil interpretasi menunjukkan bahwa potensi sumber air ditemukaan berada pada kedalaman > 25 meter dengan rentang nilai resistivitas antara 2 - 10 Ωm dan termasuk ke dalam akuifer tertekan.
