This classroom action research was motivated by several factors, including the lack of students' ability to write short stories. The problem in this research is how to improve students' ability to write stories (BI) and how to write money (Mama) using audio-visual media. This study aims to improve students' ability to write stories and how to write the value of money (Mama) using audio-visual media, namely by rewriting in their own words the film that has been watched as an example. This research is quantitative and qualitative. The method used in this research is the method of observation and testing. The research setting is in public elementary schools, namely in class II SD Negeri 3 Pasar Pangururan, with a total of 32 students. The process of implementing the action is carried out in two cycles, and each cycle consists of four stages, starting from the planning stage, implementing the action, observing, and the reflection stage. The quantitative research results in the first cycle with results 69% (class average) and 69% (number of students who completed learning). Whereas in cycle II showed an increase of 84% (class average) and 100% (number of students who completed learning). From this research it can be concluded that using audio-visual media can improve the ability to write short stories and how to write the value of money for Class II SD Negeri 3 Pasar Pangururan in the 2020 academic year.
