Abstract

This article aims to examine students' mathematical reasoning abilities in finishing items based problems. The researcher reviewed several literatures related to mathematical reasoning ability, where the method used was literature study. The results of studies that have been carried out by researchers are problem-based questions that have an important role in mathematical reasoning abilities. Through mathematical reasoning abilities students can think logically, critically, effectively, and efficiently. This thinking equips students to be able to finishing items based problems. Next, based on a study of some literature, there are several indicators of mathematical reasoning ability that must be achieved to categorize high, medium, and low mathematical reasoning abilities in finishing items based problems. In this case, the researcher seeks support from experts to strengthen the argument during the study process.

Abstract

Abstract Covid-19 pandemic has plagued Indonesia for more than a year. As a result, all human activities are disrupted, especially in the field of education. Teaching and learning activities can no longer be carried out directly, but online. Studying from home or online is not enough for student understanding. Especially for the fifth grade students of SDN Nagacipta 01. Based on the preliminary study, the fifth grade students of SDN Nagacipta 01 did not get sufficient understanding of the teaching materials distributed by the teacher during online learning. Especially in the matter of adding and subtracting fractions. Therefore, there is a need for learning methods that can improve students' understanding of the material. Researcher use blended learning learning methods. Blended learning is a learning method that mixes face-to-face and online learning. Based on the results of the independent samples test, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000>0.05, because the value of Sig. (2-tailed) is equal to 0.000, smaller than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the use of blended learning methods in learning mathematics with addition and subtraction of fractions for fifth grade students at SDN Nagacipta 01 has increased. Keywords: Blended Learning, Covid-19, fraction, student understanding. Abstrak Pandemi Covid-19 sudah mewabah lebih dari satu tahun di Indonesia. Akibatnya semua aktivitas manusia terganggu, khususnya pada bidang pendidikan. Kegiatan belajar mengajar tidak dapat lagi dilaksanakan secara langsung, melainkan online. Belajar dari rumah atau daring tidaklah cukup untuk pemahaman siswa. Khususnya pada siswa kelas V SDN Nagacipta 01. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan, siswa kelas V SDN Nagacipta 01 tidak mendapat pemahaman yang cukup pada bahan ajar yang dibagikan oleh guru ketika pembelajaran online. Khususnya pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan. Maka dari itu perlu adanya metode pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan metode pembelajaran blended learning. Blended learning adalah metode pembelajaran yang mencampurkan pembelajaran tatap muka dan daring. Berdasarkan hasil uji independent samples test nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000>0,05, karena nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sama dengan 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode blended learning dalam pembelajaran matematika materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan pada siswa kelas V SDN Nagacipta 01 mengalami peningkatan. Kata Kunci: Blended Learning, Covid-19, Pecahan, Pemahaman siswa
