Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the effectiveness of experiential learning model tp increase the anger management skills in MI Miftahul Hidayah students. This research used one group pretest-posttest designs. The subjects of the research were taken from the students of grade of IV and V MI Miftahul Hidayah Gogourung with purpossive technique selection. Pretest result shows that there are eight students have low anger management score, then they were divided into a treatment group with experiential learning model. The research instrument uses anger management scale. The data analyzed by using Wilxocon sign rank test to verify the improvement of anger management in a group experiment. The result of the analysis indicates that a method used shows a significant increase the managing anger skill improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of the condition of adversity quotient among college students of Bimbingan Konseling Islam (BKI). This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of descriptive research. The sample in this study amounted to 93 college students of BKI IAIN Tulungagung. The sample taken by using simple random sampling technique. The data collection instrument used for this study using Adversity Quotient inventory and data analysis is done by using standard deviation and mean. The results showed that the adversity quotient levels among collage students of BKI is in high category 35.48%, medium category 53.76%, anda low category 10.75%.

Abstract

Peningkatan Adversity Quotient melalui Strategi Focus Group Discussion pada Mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan strategi focus group discussion dalam meningkatkan adversity quotient pada mahasiswa program studi Bimbingan Konseling Islam (BKI) IAIN Tulungagung. Penelitian menggunakan satu kelompok subjek (one group pretest-posttest designs). Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa BKI angkatan 2016 kelas A, B,C, dan D, yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil pretest menunjukkan terdapat 10 mahasiswa yang memiliki skor adversity quotient rendah, kemudian 10 mahasiswa tersebut diberi treatment dengan intervensi strategi focus group discussion. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan inventori adversity quotient. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus paired sample t-test  untuk mengetahui peningkatan tingkat adversity quotient pada kelompok eksperimen. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa strategi focus group discussion yang digunakan memberikan kenaikan yang signifikan.  Kata Kunci: focus group discussion, adversity quotient, mahasiswa BKI

Abstract

Pengembangan inventori Adversity Quotient berbasis software bagi remaja memiliki tujuan dihasilkannya alat berupa inventori Adversity Quotient yang memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas memadai. Rancangan penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah pengembangan dari Brog dan Gall (1983). Pengembangan inventori Adversity Quotient berbasis software menunjukkan bahwa inventori ini telah sesuai untuk dijadikan sebagai alat untuk mengukur tingkat adversity quotient remaja.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Comparison Anger Management Skills of Students with Emotional Literacy and FGD Strategies. The purpose of this research is to understand the comparison anger management skills of junior high school with emotional literacy and focus group discussion strategies intervention. This research used quasi experiment method with the pretest- posttest two treatment designs. The subjects of the research were taken from the students of grade of VII.3 and VII.5 SMPN 5 Malang with purpossive technique selection. Pretest result shows that there are twelve students have low and very low anger management score, then they were divided into two groups which consist of six students each. The first group, experiment I, with emotional literacy strategy treatment and the second group, experiment II with focus group discussion strategy treatment. The research instrument uses anger management scale. The data analyzed by using Wilxocon sign rank test to verify the improvement of anger management in each group experiment and Mann-Whitney U test to examine any differences, if any, in the effectiveness among the two treatments. The result of the analysis indicates that the two methods used shows a significant increase and there is no significant difference between the effectiveness of the two toward the managing anger skill improvement.
