Abstract

Differences in the accumulation of heavy metals lead and cadmium in water, sediments and mangrove organs (roots, stems and leaves) found in the waters of Tulehu, Maluku Province. Samples were taken from three observation stations, namely stopping ships that are not operating (station 1), Tulehu harbor (station 2) and Control (station 3). Pb and Cd were analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. Pb and Cd content in sediments is higher than in water. The highest Pb and Cd content is found in the stems then in the roots and leaves (stems> roots> leaves). Mangroves are one of the aquatic organisms that have the ability to absorb heavy metals in the aquatic environment. Key words: Mangrove, Pb, Cd, Heavy Metal

Abstract

Natural enemies are one component of Integrated Pest Management that utilizes non-chemical methods and reduces pesticides. Physical factors of the environment both temperature, humidity and varying light intensity greatly affect the abundance of natural enemies in an agricultural ecosystem. The purpose of this study was to determine the number and types of natural enemies of visitors to the observation plots, species diversity (H ') and the influence of environmental factors on the spatial and temporal distribution patterns of natural enemies on agricultural land. Sampling was conducted in May until July 2019. Observations were made grouped into 4 periods are at 07.00-08.00 WIT, 09.00-10.00 WIT, 12.00-13.00 WIT and at 15.00-16.00 WIT. The observation method used is to use "visual control". The results showed that environmental factors influence the number and type of natural enemies of the plot observation visitors. Natural enemies who visited the observation plot in the agricultural area were 5 families including Coccinellidae, Staphylinidae, Carabidae, Libellulidae, and Formicidae. Shannon - Wienner diversity index of H '>3. Environmental factors affect the presence of natural enemy insects with a correlation of Adjusted R-Square of 0.846 or 84.6%. Abstract

Ubi jalar ungu (Ipomoea batatas var Ayumurasaki) memiliki kulit dan daging umbi yang berwarna ungu kehitaman. Ubi jalar ungu mengandung pigmen antosianin yang lebih tinggi daripada ubi jalar jenis lain. Kandungan antosianin yang tinggi, menyebabkan ubi tersebut berwarna ungu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan gizi dari tepung ubi ungu melalui teknik pengeringan dengan menggunakan oven dan secara alami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tepung ubi ungu mengandung zat gizi yang tinggi dan sangat baik untuk dijadikan sebaga pengganti tepung terigu yang terbuat dari gandumKata Kunci: Ubi Ungu, Teknik Pengeringan, Tepung, Zat Gizi

Abstract

Pelajaran Biologi memiliki banyak materi yang disesuaikan dengan kurikulum yang berlaku. Biologi dilengkapi dengan kegiatan praktikum sebagai pendukung materi yang sukar untuk dipahami siswa. Biologi memuat banyak praktik yang menjadikan siswa trampil baik fisik maupun sosial. Kegiatan ini merupakan media bagi siswa agar mahir mengaplikasikan ilmu biologi. Pengabdian ini berlokasi di SMA Negeri 31 Kabupaten Maluku Tengah pada tanggal 6 Agustus 2022. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dalam bentuk praktik setelah diawali dengan pemberian materi. Kegiatan praktik yang dilakukan meliputi analisis kandungan amilum dan glukosa sampel, analisis kandungan protein pada sampel, respirasi menghasilkan CO2, kerja enzim katalase dan persilangan Mendel. Hasil pengabdian melaporkan bahwa siswa-siswi SMA Negeri 31 Maluku Tengah sangat antusias mengikuti setiap tahapan kegiatan praktikum. Praktikum biologi bertujuan memberikan ketrampilan khusus, pengetahuan baru bagi siswa yang bermanfaat untuk membantu siswa menguji suatu teori dan melengkapi kekurangan materi praktik di sekolah.

Abstract

Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI) merupakan negara kepulauan yang, memiliki sumber daya laut yang dapat dikembangkan untuk membantu daerah mencapai tujuan ekonomi, sosial dan politik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menemukan konsep ilmu hukum sesuai dengan ciri khas Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan dan metode yang digunakan adalah yuridis normatif untuk mengkaji dan menganalisa sinkronisasi dan harmonisasi pengaturan hukum sumberdaya laut melalui pendekatan perundang–undangan dan pendekatan konseptual (conceptual approach). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Konsep Asimetrik merupakan konsep ilmu hukum yang sesuai dengan ciri khas Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan. Konsep ini merupakan landasan yang kuat sebagai penopang keadilan dalam wilayah Indonesia yang didiami oleh berbagai suku dan ras, memberikan keadilan, karena berbagai kepentingan masyarakat dapat terpenuhi dengan baik dan mengandung nilai-nilai asasi yang tak terbantahkan

Abstract

Perairan pantai pulau Ay memiliki sumberdaya hayati laut yang sangat beragam sehingga berpotensi untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakatnya diantaranya bivalvia. Bivalvia dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan makanan, kerajinan serta mempunyai kandungan gizi yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis bivalvia, keragaman bivalvia dan frekuensi kehadiran bivalvia di perairan pantai Pulau Ay Kecamatan Banda Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November sampai Desember 2018 dengan menggunakan metode transek kuadrat untuk pengamatan biota di lokasi penelitian dengan ukuran 1 x 1 m. Analisis data menggunakan Indeks Shannon Wiener. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bivalvia yang ditemukan di perairan pantai Pulau Ay Kecamatan Banda Kabupaten Maluku Tengah adalah 8 jenis diantaranya Scapharca pilula, Sunneta truncata, Pinna muricata, Amusium pleuronectes, Tellina remies, Spondylus barbatus, Pinctada maxima, Tridacna gigas dengan total jumlah individu sebesar 46 individu. Indeks keragaman jenis bivalvia sebesar 1,6. Frekuensi kehadiran total bivalvia pada perairan pantai Pulau Ay adalah sebesar 82,81% yang menyatakan kehadiran sering/absolut

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of card sort learning strategies in improving biology learning outcomes on the concept of the human digestive system of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Seram Barat. The type of research used in this study is Classroom Action Research. Activities carried out in each cycle include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were grade VIII2 students at SMP Negeri 6 Seram Barat with a total of 33 students. To obtain data on learning outcomes, it is necessary to use instruments in the form of tests and observation sheets. This research is said to be successful if, the learning outcomes achieved by students in the implementation of the test have reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria, namely individually, namely student test results have reached a value of 67 and classically student learning completeness has reached 75%. The data analysis technique used by the authors in this study is descriptive analysis.  Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning using the card sort method on digestive system material in humans can improve student learning outcomes in grade VIII SMP Negeri 6 Seram Barat

Abstract

Plastic is a popular packaging material used worldwide. Plastic has advantages such as being strong, light and elastic, but due to its slow decomposition process, its existence has an impact on the accumulation of plastic waste and the environment. Bioplastics made from Gayam starch and plantain peels with variations of glycerol are the best solutions to overcome the plastic problem because they are made from easily decomposed raw materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the bioplastic prototype of gayam fruit and plantain peel with glycerol variations. This type of research is quantitative with a laboratory experiment approach. This research was conducted on 24 February 2022 to 06 January 2023 at the Ambon IAIN MIPA Laboratory. Gayam fruit starch and plantain peel starch flour were made in a ratio of 1: 3. Then precipitated for 24 hours and dried in an oven for 4 hours at 50°C. Bioplastics are made by adding variations of glycerol 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. Bioplastic prototypes in the form of physical appearance, biodegradable tests and water resistance were analyzed descriptively using the ANOVA test (Analysis of Variance) and continued with Duncan's test to determine the significance of glycerol variations on bioplastic prototypes. The results showed that Gayam starch and plantain peel with variations in glycerol had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the bioplastic prototype.
