<![CDATA[The source of religious unrest, especially Islam, regarding the development of women's movements in the world is concerning the norms of appearance, especially the norms of dress. In reality now, almost all women's movements, commonly called the feminism movement, always voiced the right for women to have a career outside the home. Islam does not forbid it, but the impact of the appeal is the fading culture of the Indonesian Islamic community which does not justify women leaving the house without their husband's permission, and without urgent needs. The purpose of this research is to find out how the understanding of tabarruj in the hadith, examine the quality of the hadith, and to find out how the understanding of the hadith in the book of shari?ah about the adab dress for women. The results of the study explained that the tabarruj in the hadith is a style of dress or attitude of women who deliberately attract the attention of others when he comes out of his house, showing the beauty of his face, body and jewelry, using fragrances to get praise from others. Among the traditions about tabarruj, there are those who are sa?i?, ,asan, ?a?f and even want their quality because one of their sanad is considered to be a lying lie, such as Jabir bin Yazid who is considered a scholar of hadith as someone who falsified this tradition. In terms of matan sa?i? because it does not contradict the Koran, a more sound tradition, reason and history. Understanding the Tabarruj Hadith in the Shariah Hadith book is the Shari?ah forbidding the wearing of Syuhrah (fame) clothing which makes the wearer arrogant, not wearing thin and tight clothing so as to form a body curve that makes people interested when they see it, not opening a part of the genitals, using clothes that resemble women?s clothing or conversely, and do not use excessive fragrance whose intention is to seek the attention of others.]]>
