Abstract

The objective of this paper is to determine students’ response to the implementation of Teams Games and Tournament (TGT)-based outdoor study in natural science subject. Data were collected by questionnaire and interview, then tabulated in Microsoft Excel and analyzed descriptively. Results of the study showed that the average of the questionnaire were 3,86. These results indicate that the students’response were very good. Teams Games and Tournament (TGT) based on outdoor study made students more happy, motivated, skilled, and active to participate in learning, because they could play and saw real examples of the material being studied.

Abstract

The purpose of this resreach is to determine the effect of environmental concept based PjBL (Project Based Learning) models to the observation skills of VII grade students at SMPN 1 Jenangan. This resreach was quantitative descriptive by Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The samples of this resreach were VII C (experimental) and VII D class (control) with a total 50 students. The instrument of this research was essay test. Essay test was applied before and after imlplementation of environmental concept based PjBL model. Data were analized by t-test using software minitab. The result showed that the P-value was 0,000; due to P-valu less than 0.05, so H0 was rejected. Its mean that, there was a significant differences between the student observations skills that use environmental concept based PjBL (Project Based Learning) models with the students observations skills that PBL (Problem Based Learning) model at SMPN 1 Jenangan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis tanaman yang diperjualbelikan di pasar stasiun Ponorogo dan cara mengintegrasikannya pada pembelajaran biologi. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara survey dan wawancara kepada pedagang di pasar stasiun Ponorogo. Data yang dikumpulkan merupakan data tentang nama lokal tanaman, asal tanaman, bagian tanamn yang dijual dan manfaatnya, kemudian data ditabulasi dalam Microsoft excel dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa tanaman yang dijual di pasar stasisun ada 84 jenis tanaman yang terbagi ke dalam 31 famili. Tanaman yang paling banyak dijual berasal dari famili Cucurbitaceae, Fabaceae dan Solanaceae. Mayoritas tanaman yang dijual merupakan tanaman semusim yang dibudayakan di daerah Ponorogo, Magetan dan Pacitan. Tanaman di pasar dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar biologi karena dapat digunakan untuk mempelajari taksonomi tumbuhan, pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan, ekologi, biodiversitas, etnobotani, gizi dan kesehatan msyarakat. Pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan potensi lokal akan membuat pembelajaran lebih bermakna, bervariasi, dan aplikatif serta membuat mahasiswa lebih termotivasi untuk belajar.
