Abstract

Lettuce production in Indonesia is still low, so the demand for lettuce cannot be fulfilled. Lettuce production can be increased with aeroponic systems because aeroponic systems can be carried out in various places including urban areas and areas that have high land conversion.. The purpose of this study was to study and obtain the best time intervals of nutrition in lettuce New Grand Rapid varieties with the Aeroponic System. This research was conducted in a screen house in Leuwimalang Village, Cisarua, Bogor Regency, West Java from August to November 2019. The study used a single factor randomized block design (RBD), consisting of 6 treatments with 5 replications, so that there were 30 experimental units. t1 = 30 seconds (on): 5 minutes (off)]; [t2 = 30 seconds (on): 10 minutes (off)]; [t3 = 30 seconds (on): 15 minutes (off)]; [t4 = 30 seconds (on): 20 minutes (off)]; [t5 = 30 seconds (on): 25 minutes (off)]; [t6 = (Non Stop)]. The provision of nutrition with different time intervals in the aerophonic system gave different effects on the average plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area and fresh weight per lettuce plant, and continuous nutrition treatment (Non Stop) gave the results of fresh weight the highest was 203.10 g

Abstract

The demand for lettuce in Indonesia still cannot be fulfilled because lettuce production in Indonesia is still very low according to data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency in 2019. To meet the needs of lettuce at the request of the community and the market, an intensive cultivation technique is needed, namely the aeroponic system. The purpose of this study was to get the right timing of nutrition to produce the highest production of green lettuce plants in an aeroponic system. The research method used is an experimental method with the environmental design used is a Single Factor Randomized Block Design (RBD), which consists of 6 treatments repeated 4 times. The treatments consisted of t1 (5 minutes off, 30 seconds on), t2 (10 minutes off, 30 seconds on), t3 (15 minutes off, 30 seconds on), t4 (20 minutes off, 30 seconds on), t5 (25 minutes off, 30 seconds on), t6 (non-stop). Analysis of the data used is the F test at 5% level and to find out which treatment is the best, DMRT further test is carried out at the 5% level. The results showed that the t6 treatment gave better growth and yields than other treatments. At the age of 42 days after observation, the average plant height was 29.4 cm; the average number of leaves 15.22; the average diameter of the rods is 14.11 mm; mean root length 10.34 cm; 2003 mean leaf area, 59 cm2 ; and the average fresh weight was 670.1 g.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of EC value (Electrical Conductivity) which is able to provide the best production of Red Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) Red Rapid Variety on the Floating Raft Hydroponic System. The experiment was conducted in a green house located in Sukaluyu Village, Telukjambe Timur District, Karawang Regency, from October to December 2016. The study used a randomized block design, consisting of 4 treatments, repeated 6 times, namely A (EC 0.5 - 1.5 mS / cm), B (EC 1.5 - 2.5 mS / cm), C (EC 2 , 5 - 3,5 mS / cm), D (EC 3,5 - 4,5 mS / cm) Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and further tests with Duncans multiple range test at 5% level. The number of plants for each treatment plot was 6 plants. The experimental results show that different EC (Electrical Conductivity) values have significantly different effects on the average plant height, 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 HST, the average number of leaves 21, 28, 35 and 42 HST , average stem diameter 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 days, average leaf area per plant, and average fresh weight per plant. The EC value of 3.5 - 4.5 mS / cm gives the highest production on the average fresh weight per lettuce plant (158.66 g), equivalent to 31.73 tons / ha.

Abstract

There are several factors that cause a decrease in the production of Cabbage Flowers in Indonesia, including inadequate cultivation systems, less optimal nutrition, and a lack of utilization of organic elements in cultivation techniques, as well as the use of urban narrow land. The purpose of this study was to study and obtain a combination of compound NPK fertilizer, leaf fertilizer and POC cow urine which gave the highest production of PM 126 F1 variety flower cabbage plants on the wick hydroponic system. This research was conducted at Screen House, located in West Jomin Village, Kota Baru Subdistrict, Karawang Regency, West Java Province. The research site is at an altitude of 10 meters above sea level, from April to September 2018. The method used is the experimental method and the experimental design used was Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 10 treatments repeated 3 times. Data were analyzed using variance analysis and further testing with Duncans multiple range test at the level of 5%. The results of this study are compound NPK fertilizer optimization, leaf fertilizer and POC cow urine on the wick hydroponic system that have a significant effect on growth components (plant height 42 days, number of leaves 42 days, stem diameter 42 days, root display, and leaf area), and gave a significantly different effect on the yield component (flower height, flower diameter, leaf weight without leaves, and flower weight with leaves) flower cabbage plant cultivar PM126F1. Treatment A (AB Mix 10 ml L-1 water) gave the highest yield on flower weight (crop) with leaves per plant of 536.056 gr equivalent to 22.34 tons per hectare and weight of flowers (crop) without leaves per plant of 207.57 gr equivalent to 8.65 tons per hectare.

Abstract

The study was aimed to determine and analyze the effects of organic material on the cauliflower (Brassica oleracea L. var . botrytis sub var. cauliflora DC ) in different irrigation systems during dry season in the lowlands. This experiment was conducted in paddy fields in the village of Sukapura, Rawamerta Karawang from May to August 2021. The experimental design was Split Plot Design. As the main plot was the irrigation system (A), consisted of two levels: (1) a1 = furrow irrigation, and (2) a2 = sprinkler irrigation (manual). The split plot was the dose of organic material (B), consisted of 4 levels: (1) b0 = no organic material (cow manure 0 t ha-1), (2) b1 = cow manure 5 t ha-1, (3) b2 = cow manure 10 t ha-1, and (4) b3 = cow manure 15 t ha-1. Each treatment was repeated four times. The results showed that there were significant interaction between irrigation systems and the dose of organic matter on the number of leaves at 14 days after planting (dap), stem diameter at 28 days after planting, height curd and weight curd. There were not any effects from irrigation systems on the growth and yield of cauliflower. There were effects from the dose of organic material on growth and yield of cauliflower. The dose of cow manure at 15 t ha-1 gave the highest growth and yield of curd with leaves weight 936.13 g, total yield of 18.34 kg per plot equivalent to 30.57 t ha-1 and marketable yield per plot is 16.81 kg equivalent to 28.02 t ha-1.
