Abstract

Regarding the importance of English for international communication, Indonesian government set up the regulation and included English in the curriculum for schools. English accordingly should be taught from junior high school to university level. Some primary schools in Indonesia even put English as their optional subject beginning in the third year. The regulation may lead to the improvement of human resources especially in education sector because the government believes that will develop national prosperity. In addition, it is also important to improve educational subjects (person who take part in education) for instance teacher, students, academics, etc to maintain the quality in educational sector. The research discusses the effectiveness of using washback to introduce the use of test influences on language teachers and learners activities in the classroom and also examine the concept of washback and language assessment as the instances of the consequential aspect of validity, authentic and direct assessment and difficulty in the test. Keywords: washback, assessment, effectiveness, validity, education, test

Abstract

Nowadays, there is a demand for the implementation of IELTS test in Pontianak is still quite difficult to find. In addition, for IELTS test training itself can be quite expensive with special training organized by various English learning guidance scattered in Pontianak. However, on the other hand, the use of IELTS test itself is very useful for many people considering the results of IELTS score to be one of the requirements to be accepted on a campus or reputable institution. So, we need a media like website that can be able to know the outline of questions from the IELTS test itself. Language Center Unit (UPT Bahasa) State Polytechnic of Pontianak is one of the institution which is held IELTS preparation for public Method of system development used is Waterfall method. The software used to build this application is Pear Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) as a programming language, MySQL as the database server, XAMPP as a local server and Sublime Text 3 as a text editor. This application assists the public in estimating the scores achieved for IELTS test questions online and the website also comes with the information about what an IELTS test is and some unique facts about the IELTS test.

Abstract

Untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap layanan yang telah diberikan oleh Jurusan Elektro Politeknik Negeri Pontianak diperlukan sebuah Aplikasi Laporan Quality Assurance Mengenai Tingkat Kepuasan Mahasiswa berbasis yang dapat secara cepat memberikan gambaran rekapitulasi hasil penilaian dan kecenderungan dari aspek-aspek penilaian yang telah dilakukan mahasiwa terhadap layanan yang diberikan, serta mengetahui jumlah mahasiswa yang telah memberikan penilaian.Pengembangan aplikasi tersebut menggunakan model Waterfall dengan tahapan-tahapan yang terdiri dari analisis kebutuhan perangkat lunak, desain perangkat lunak, pembuatan kode program, pengujian, dukungan dan pemeliharaan. Aplikasi yang dihasilkan dapat memperlihatkan rekap penilaian dan grafik hasil penilaian dimana hasil ini sangat diperlukan untuk mempermudah melakukan pemantauan terhadap mahasiswa yang telah memberikan penilaian dan yang belum melakukan penilaian, sehingga kepada mahasiswa yang belum memberikan penilaian dapat diarahkan untuk mengisi survei tersebut. Selain itu aplikasi juga dapat membantu melihat kecenderungan hasil penilaian tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa dari aspek-aspek penilaian yang ada

Abstract

Brain is a part of the nervous system. The Nervous system has characteristics of abstract and complicated matter, because it deals with complex physical and chemical mechanisms. Therefore something is needed that can help to simplify this matter like application Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The application of AR technology to the learning of the nervous system on the brain is an android-based application that provides 3D illustrations of the brain and nerve cells so that students can see it directly and interact with the object. Method that used on development this AR application is Multimedia Development Life Cycle. Softwares that used in buildong this application are CorelDraw, Vuforia, Unity, and Visual Studio Code. The results obtained is an AR application for learning the nervous system on the brain. The tests was carried out on several students with alpha testing and beta testing methods. Based on the tests this AR application has been running well according to its function
