Abstract

The term of jihad is often associated to radical and terrorist acts. As a result, the meaning of jihad into a dwarf, limited, and further potential countra-productive conditions in the community. Thus, it is important to reread ang reinterprate the meaning of jihad. One source that can be lifted is the text of Mulḥaq fī Bayān Al-Fawā’id Al-Nāfi’ah fī Al-Jihād fī Sabīlillāh, which is attachment of the work of Shaykh Abdussamad al-Palimbani entitled Nasīḥāt al-Muslimīn wa Tadhkirāt al-Mukminīn fī Faḍā’il al-Jihād fī Sabīlillāh, which is written in 18th century. According to the text of Mulḥaq, jihad is a religious doctrine that must be actualized appropriate social context. In the context of the socio-political under colonial shackles, jihad in the form of physical resistance is a religious obligation, and it is not radicalism. This paper, therefore, trays to elaborate on the meaning of jihad itself, and on the other hand on the use of amulets as a source of power which is purified by reading verses of the Qur’an, prayer and remembrance. --- Terma jihad sering diasosiasikan pada tindakan radikal dan teror. Akibatnya, makna jihad menjadi kerdil, terbatas, dan lebih lanjut berpotensi menimbulkan kondisi yang kontra produktif di masyarakat. Dengan demikian, teks terkait jihad menjadi penting dibaca dan dimaknai kembali. Salah satu sumber yang dapat diangkat adalah teks Mulḥaq fī Bayān Al-Fawā’id Al-Nāfi’ah fī Al-Jihād fī Sabīlillāh, yang merupakan lampiran dari karya Syekh Abdussamad al-Palimbani yang berjudul Nasīḥāt al-Muslimīn wa Tadhkirāt al-Mukminīn fī Faḍā’il al-Jihād fī Sabīlillāh, yang ditulis pada abad ke-18 M. Berdasarkan naskah Mulḥaq, jihad merupakan merupakan doktrin keagamaan yang harus diaktualisasikan sesuai konteks sosialnya. Dalam konteks sosial politik di bawah belenggu penjajah, jihad dalam bentuk perlawanan fisik adalah suatu keharusan, dan itu bukanlah radikalisme. Tulisan ini, dengan demikian, mengelaborasi pemaknaan jihad itu sendiri, dan di sisi lain tentang penggunaan azimat sebagai sumber kekuatan yang dipurifikasi dengan bacaan ayat Al-Qur’an, doa dan zikir.

Abstract

The discourse of mass organization dismissal of Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) by the government through the Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 2/2017 (Perppu), that now has been officially being the mass organization regulation, causes pro and contra.This article analyses the substance of the differencies of HTI, NU, and Muhammadiyah opinion about violant attack (makar) and Perppu as its rule to protect it. It also analyses the rationale and reason of their opinion. This article finds two points: First, HTI noted that their activities were not a violant attack but the religious proselytizing (dakwah) so that the dimissal act through Perppu, according to them, was not appropriate. Meanwhile, NU said that HTI activities were a violant attack and they supported itsdismissal through Perppu. Whereas Muhammadiyah argued that the contradiction toward national idology is a violant attack but it dimissal has to be constitutional. Second, based on the social dialectic theory, this article notes that the differencies of these mass organization opinion were influenced by their different conception on nation that internalized when they looked at the problem of violant attack and Perppu. According to the political identity theory, each mass organization brings religious knowledge identity that fitted together, especially concerning Perppu.   Diskursus terkait penonaktifan organisasi massa (ormas) Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) oleh pemerintah melalui Peraturan Pemerintah Pengganti Undang-Undang No. 2 tahun 2017 (Perppu Ormas), yang kemudian disahkan menjadi UU Ormas, memunculkan pro-kontra. Artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana substansi perbedaan pandangan HTI, Nahdhatul Ulama (NU), dan Muhammadiyah (MU) tentang makar dan Perppu sebagai payung hukum pencegahannya. Lantas, apa sebenarnya yang melandasi perbedaan pandangan tersebut. Kajian ini menemukan beberapa hal. Pertama, HTI berpandangan bahwa aktivitas mereka bukan makar melainkan aktivitas dakwah sehingga pembubarannya melalui Perppu dinilai tidak beralasan. Sementara NU memandang aktivitas HTI adalah makar dan mendukung pembubarannya melalui Perppu. Adapun Muhammadiyah berpandangan bahwa yang bertentangan dengan ideologi negara adalah makar, tapi pencegahannya harus secara konstitusional. Kedua, merujuk pada teori dialektika sosial, perbedaan sikap masing-masing ormas dipengaruhi oleh pandangan mereka tentang konsepsi negara yang terinternalisasi dalam menyikapi persoalan makar dan pencegahannya melalui Perppu. Sementara berdasarkan teori politik identitas, masing-masing ormas mengusung identitas pemahaman keagamaan yang saling beririsan terkait Perppu.

Abstract

Women’s dilemma between career and family is one of the prominent discourses on sakinah family development today that needs to solve. This paper analyzes the concept of Hadila Islamic family magazine, as one of the tarbiyah movement representations, on the construction of muslimah mompreneur as a model of women economic role in developing sakinah family. It also analyzes how is its relevancy with the sakinah family regulations in Indonesia and with the theoretical solution for women dilemma in career and family. By using framing analysis, this paper finds that muslimah mompreneur constructed by Hadila is the women as a housewife, having a business around female employment, running a business autonomously or together with her husband, having a business based on professionality and religious values, as well as having some purposes to maximize the role of household, self-empowerment, and independence. Such constructions are relevant to the construction of women economic role in sakinah family regulations in Indonesia. Furthermore, it strengthens women domestication but more flexible where the role of the household can be maximized together with the economic role. It also strengthens a model of women economic role based on religious values as Islamic family identity. By such construction, muslimah mompreneur is different from some theories connected to women dilemma between career and family, as well as give an alternative choice, although it tends to be patriarchal and domestication.
