Abstract

As a commitment to improve health services in Bali, the Bali Provincial Government built Bali Mandara International Hospital. The hospital is to be expected becoming the best hospital in Bali. aimed to help the poor family to get the best health care. can be directed to become a medical tourism destination. However, There was some commotion on the employee’s recruitment process of Bali Mandara Hospital, where violations allegedly occurred in the process of recruitment of new employees, especially in recruiting non-government contract workers. The demonstration of Sanur community also occurred on October 28th, 2017 to demand justice and transparency in the recruitment of employees at the newly built hospital where they were promised to get ten percent quota for the job vacancies. although facing many problems, the Hospital keep operating until now. The employee recruitment system that is considered not transparent, cause the noble goal of Bali Provincial Government to improve the community’s health service through Bali Mandara Hospital is not well conveyed. Corruption, Collusion and nepotism practices that are still firmly rooted in some agencies make public’s trust toward Government become low. in addition, the public is expected to be more careful in receiving information. Because if the information is misleading, it could result in the disadvantage of many parties.

Abstract

Balinese people hold Yadnya ceremony Panca Wali Krama every ten years. Panca means Five, represents five elements that compose the universe Panca Maha Bhuta, while Bali or Wali means offering or ceremony. In this year, the ritual was considered exceptional due to it took place twice, the first in Lempuyang Luhur Temple and the second in the largest temple in Bali, Besakih Temple. Hindu communities from all regions in Bali came to participate in the event, as their symbol of faith toward the God Almighty. This ten-year event took place for more than twenty days in Lempuyang Luhur and thirty-seven days in Besakih temple. While Panca Wali Krama was taking place at Besakih, Mount Agung has been reported experiencing several hiccups on 9, 15 and 21 March 2019. Despite the eruption, the communities kept doing their prayer and service at the temple located on the slope of the volcano. Meanwhile, another crisis was faced by hospitals on the island, due to an announcement from the official to ban Ngaben ceremony until the Yadnya is over. As a result, Mortuary in several hospitals was reported overloaded. The official and Government hastily response to the overloaded problem, since according to Balinese Hindu believe, keeping the dead body stranded was considered defiling the area.

Abstract

Balinese Coffee might sound unfamiliar since it is a new player in the premium gourmet world. Bringing a rich aroma and distinctive smoky taste, it has attracted coffee connoisseurs to feel at home on vacation in Bali. Thanks to the mineral-rich volcanic soil, practices involving natural fertilizers and plantings method according to the Tri Hita Karana concept. Coffee has a distinctive flavors to hook its audience, creating many coffee-drinking cultures in most countries, including Indonesia. Coffee can be consumed as a beverage or processed into other products without reducing its high selling value. Many innovations to turn coffee beans into perfume, aromatherapy, and coffee bean accessories have been highly-demanded. Taking advantage of the uprising prestige of coffee, the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster also proposed an idea that herbal drink experts doubted, namely mixing Coffee with Balinese arak. However, expert doubted the Governor’s proposal and advised the public to look for other herbal drinks references.
