Abstract

In Indonesia, the number of fracture surgeries by the end of 2017 had reached 27.9% of the total types of surgery. The prevalence of fractures is quite high, namely the incidence of fractures in the extremities which is around 46.2%. Non-pharmacological management is physiotherapy to reduce pain, maintain, increase muscle and joint strength with Range of Motion (ROM). This community service aims for patients and families to know and understand about active and passive ROM movements. Extension methods using demonstrations, lectures and leaflets. This community service is followed by families and patients who experience mobility barriers due to fractures who have returned home at the Muara Kumpeh Health Center area. The time of service was carried out in July 2020 with a total of 15 people. The results of this community service after the team carried out community service activities, patients and families who attended began to understand and understand how to move ROM in the lower extremities

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis is very contagious, and can have a negative impact on family members who live in the same household as someone with pulmonary tuberculosis. Families who live with pulmonary TB clients are very vulnerable to infection because of the lack of knowledge about preventing pulmonary TB transmission. Payo Selincah Health Center is ranked 3rd for pulmonary TB cases out of 24 health centers in Jambi City, with a significant increase in cases every year. The main cause of the high cases of pulmonary TB in the work area of the Payo Selincah Health Center is the lack of adherence to treatment and behavior to prevent transmission in the family. The purpose of this community service is a movement to empower families with pulmonary TB awareness and alertness and increase the ability and independence of families in treating and preventing pulmonary TB transmission with a Health Coaching approach. Activities carried out in the form of socialization, pre-test, health counseling using power points and leaflets, demonstration of how to cough and expel phlegm correctly, companion to take medicine, post-test and assistance to families whose family members suffer from pulmonary TB. The activity was attended by 26 people, consisting of village officials, health workers, community leaders, cadres and families. The result of this activity is an increase in the knowledge and ability of the community and families in caring for and preventing the transmission of pulmonary TB with a difference of 38.0% in the pre and post test scores. In conclusion, empowering the sasiga family with the Health Coaching method and health education for families is effective in increasing knowledge and ability in treating and preventing pulmonary TB transmission, Primary Health Care should optimize the TB TOSS program and mentoring with Whatsapp  group, so that it will break the chain of pulmonary TB spread in the family. and improve recovery for patients with pulmonary TB.

Abstract

Fracture is a break in bone continuity and is determined according to its type and extent (Anita, 2015). Fractures caused by injuries include falls, traffic accidents and trauma to sharp or blunt objects. The trend of injury prevalence shows an increase from 7.5% in 2017 to 8.2% in 2018 (Kemenkes RI, 2018). This research is a quantitative research with pre-experimental research methods with one group pretest and posttest research design. This study was conducted to determine the effect of restoring muscle and joint strength in post-op patients with limb fracture in the working area of Muara Kumpeh puskemas. The research time is planned to be carried out on July 15, 2020 in the working area of the Muara Kumpeh Health Center. The population in this study was Post op fracture with a number of 84 people. The sample in this study was 15 people using purposive sampling method. Data collection was carried out by observing the respondents MMT (Manual Muscle Testing). research using the T-Test. The results showed that the average value of muscle and joint strength recovery in post-op limb fracture patients before therapy was 30.20 Mean while the average value of muscle and joint strength recovery in post-op limb fracture patients after being given therapy was 35.80 and the results showed The effect of restoring muscle and joint strength in post-op limb fracture patients in the working area of Muara Kumpeh Health Center with p-value (0,000) <α = 0.05. The conclusion of this study is the importance of ROOM therapy in post-op expression fracture patients. It is hoped that it can be used for patients to improve muscle strength systems and better recovery of mobilization activities
