Abstract

Cattle fattening in Indonesia use a dry lot fattening system, which is a fattening system in a cage, and the feed is rationed or served. The feed has a high contribution of around 75% in production costs. The purpose of this Final Project Report is to understand the feed management of beef cattle at PT Indo Prima Beef. Data was collected using interviews, observation, and library methods. Feed planning is done 2 times, in the morning ± 06.00 to see the consumption of the night and during the day ± 13.00 to see the morning consumption. Feed distribution at PT Indo Prima Beef is divided into 2, the distribution of forage feed and the distribution of concentrate feed. PT Indo Prima Beef made 2 types of concentrates which named F8 and F9. F8 is a concentrate that has 20% protein content and 63% of energy (TDN). F8 concentrate was made for the grower period while F9 concentrate made for the finisher period. F9 has a higher energy content (TDN) of 69% and a lower protein content of 18%.  Keywords: beef cattle, feed, management

Abstract

Goats are livestock that is classified as small ruminants. One of the factors that influence goat productivity is health management. Health management is a disease control process so that livestock productivity can be maximized. One of the goat diseases in CV Mitra Tani Farm is an 'orf' disease. "Orf" is a scab that attacks the area around the goat's mouth. The ‘orf’ disease is caused by a zoonotic virus. Orf can cause goats to have difficulty in consuming food, so that the goats become thin, and increase morbidity. The purpose of this Final Project was to determine the occurrence of 'orf' disease in goats in CV Mitra Tani Farm. PE goats and pea goats were used as observation material. Observation, interviews, and secondary data collection were used to collect data in the CV. Mitra Tani Farm. Based on the observations of ‘orf’ disease in CV Mitra Tani Farm can be concluded that the clinical symptoms seen are blisters in the area around the mouth on the edge of the right lip. Orf disease management in the CV. Mitra Tani Farm was cleaning scabs around the mouth and administration of drugs in the form of gusanex® and vitamin B-complex. Keywords: Goat, orf disease, management

Abstract

Laying hens are adult hens that are specially kept for their eggs. This chicken has a high egg production capability. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the level of productivity of ISA Brown strain laying hens aged 24-28 weeks, by calculating and comparing ration consumption standards, Hen Day Production (HDP), Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), and mortality in laying hens CV Bisco Farm Talang Jawa Village, Merbau Mataram District, South Lampung Regency. The method used in the preparation is directly involved in conducting maintenance, discussion, study literature, and direct interviews. Feed consumption is 101 grams/bird /day, daily egg production or Hen Day Production (HDP) averaged 92.77%, the average FCR value was 1.89, and the mortality rate was 0.07%. Key words : layer, egg productivity, performance
