Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the divergent semantic intervention method in motor transcortical aphasia clients after stroke, male gender aged 44 years at the Cibabat Regional General Hospital. The research method used is a case study research experiment which aims to determine the condition of the subject before and after intervention through therapy. Data collection was carried out through the WOTS stage, namely (1) interviews with the client's parents, (2) direct observation of the client, (3) conducting tests on the client, and (4) studying the patient's medical record document. The results of the research after doing therapy using the divergent semantic intervention method for 15 meetings obtained good results by assessing the level of words on nouns. The conclusion is that the divergent semantic intervention method has an effect on mentioning the level of objects

Abstract

The tongue is one of the most important articulators in the language of sound. The tongue makes various sounds, both vowels, and consonants, that produce words and sentences. Children in their siblings experience an inability to hear difficulties in their auditory feedback. Hearing disability causes their articulation abilities to be very limited. Articulation is an important component of verbal communication. Articulation has a close relationship with phonology and other aspects of communication. Therefore, use the right media to help pronounce the sentence more easily stimulated when speaking, it is necessary to practice articulation for them. Sweet spatulas are made to help the tip of the tongue so that it is indeed a compilation of words containing Alveolar Apico Phonemes. The results showed an increase in children's ability to articulate words containing Alveolar Apico both in front, middle, and back of the baseline session compared to using sweet tongue spatula media. Increasing Dysaudia child's ability shows sweet taste stimulation on the tip of the tongue that can stimulate the brain, which provides the tip of the tongue for movement and movement in articulation that produces the words needed

Abstract

Aphasia is a language disorder caused by damage to the brain areas responsible for language processing. Aphasia cases can be managed using multimodal stimulation methods. This study aims to apply therapeutic steps and determine the effectiveness of the multimodal stimulation method in improving sentence naming abilities in patients with post-stroke conduction aphasia. The method used is a case study with purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out after diagnosis and the determination of the appropriate therapy method, which involved conducting an initial test; providing multimodal stimulation therapy in 10 sessions, each lasting 45 minutes; and a final test. Data analysis was performed by comparing the results of the initial and final tests and calculating the percentage increase. The results show that the patient achieved a final percentage of 100% and a 9-point improvement, which falls into the successful category.
