Abstract

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ialah untuk melihat hubungan self control dengan aggressive driving behavior pada pengemudi bus angkutan antarkota dalam provinsi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni kuantitatif korelasional dengan sampel penelitian 83 orang pengemudi bus AKDP dengan jalur Payakumbuh-Padang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala brief self control scale dengan operasionalisasi De Ridder (2011) dan skala Aggressive driving behavior scale. Hasil uji korelasi mendapatkan koefisien sebesar -0,233 dengan signifikan p= 0,34 dengan artian Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Hasil menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang negatif antara self control dengan aggressive driving behavior pada pengemudi bus AKDP. Semakin meningkat self control pengemudi akan semakin turun tingkat agrressive driving behavior, sebaliknya semakin turun tingkat self control/kontrol diri maka semakin meningkat aggressive driving behavior. Data penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan korelasi Product moment oleh Karl Person dengan SPSS.
