Abstract

AbstrakBanjir telah menjadi bencana yang sangat umum di Indonesia. Saat terjadi banjir, banyak terjadi kesulitan sumber air bersih untuk minum dan memasak. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, diadakanlah penelitian mengenai teknik teknik menghasilkan air bersih dari bahan baku air banjir. Hasil penelitian tersebut diwujudkan dalam desain sebuah peralatan masak berupa panci distilasi. Panci distilasi memaksimalkan teknik distilasi air yang dilengkapi dengan sistem filter untuk menghasilkan air bersih dari bahan baku air kotor. Prinsip kerja Panci Distilasi ini serupa dengan alat masak bertekanan yang digabungkan dengan mesin pembuat espresso yang dimodifikasi.Kata Kunci : air bersih, banjir, distilasi, peralatan masak daruratAbstractFlood is a very common disaster in Indonesia. At the event of floods, a problem arise in form of insufficient supply of clean water for drinking and cooking. Based on the issues, a research is held to study techniques to produce clean water from flood’s dirty water. The result of this research take form on a Distillation Pot design, a cookingware with ability to maximize distillation technique, aided with filtration system, to produce a clean and drinkable water from flood’s dirty water. Distillation Pot working principle is basically a modifiedpressure cooker combined with espresso maker maker.
