Abstract

The goal of this research is to describe Paul’s theology of new man according to Colossians 3:5-17 and the implementation toward the congregation of  The Indonesia Pentecostal Church Victory Surabaya.  This research used a qualitative method with a descriptive and exegetical approach.  A result is a new man according to Colossians 3:5-17 is a believer that has self-control, love, and always grateful. Even though not all, most of the congregation (about 76%) had been applied those indicators of the new man in their life.AbstrakPenulisan ini dilakukan untuk memaparkan teologi Paulus tentang manusia baru menurut Kolose 3:5-17 dan implementasinya terhadap jemaat GPdI Victory Surabaya.  Metode penulisan yang diterapkan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan eksegesis.  Dari hasil eksegesis didapati bahwa manusia baru menurut surat Kolose 3:5-17 adalah orang percaya yang memiliki penguasaan diri, hidup dalam kasih, dan senantiasa bersyukur.  Meski belum semuanya, hasil penulisan menunjukkan mayoritas jemaat GPdI Victory Surabaya atau sebesar 76% telah menerapkan indikator manusia baru tersebut dalam kehidupan mereka.
