Abstract

Community service aims to improve the professionalism of teachers in order to become a professional teacher and can advance the quality of education in Indonesia which is currently still relatively low quality. This devotion was held on Thursday, February 18, 2016, in the Hall Regional Chairman of Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya. Target communities in this devotion are the primary school teachers in the city of Palangkaraya, the selection of schools that follow the activities carried out at random/random. The method used in this service is to provide training to teachers in elementary school and later held discussions between participants and speakers. Cost of service activities is entirely sourced from Muhammadiyah University APBU Palangkaraya Year 2015. After the implementation of this activity, it can be concluded that the trainees acquire new knowledge or to refresh back the knowledge they already have.

Abstract

Paused phenomenon needs to be studied through research that is useful to add information about the disciplines of speech production psycholinguistics. The focus of this research are: (1) what percentage of paused that occur during Iwan Fals deliver answers?; (2) What kind paused happened?; and (3) what is the reason or cause of pause? This study used a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis method. The research objectives are recording the show Kick Andy "Finally Iwan Fals Talk" sequel 3/25 uploaded at http:/ www.youtube.com by nengsalse on February 5, 2010, with the subject of the research is Iwan Fals and the object of research is speech Iwan Fals. Based on the results of the calculation of the length of time or duration paused contained in the speech Iwan Fals in the show Kick Andy "Finally Iwan Talk", paused occurred for 30 seconds, or 23.8% of the speaking time for 126 seconds. In the speech, Iwan Fals paused there are two types, namely paused silent and paused filled. Some of the reasons for the speech paused Iwan Fals, among others: (1) take a breather; (2) already started with the utterance, but in fact the whole sentence is not ready for it; (3) forgotten in certain words are needed; (4) hesitant because remembering past events; (5) The search for the right words to say; and (6) of prudence.

Abstract

Literary learning in schools should be directed at developing students' appreciation of literature according to their level of emotional maturity. The development of literary learning creatively and innovatively tries to teach students to be willing and able to write literary works. The creative process of writers in creating literary works can be used as a reference in developing creative and innovative literary learning methods. One method used in the context of learning to write literature, especially short stories, is a method of field trip. The aim is so that students can observe directly and appreciate the phenomena around them, thus stimulating the emergence of ideas and creativity in learning to write short stories. The method of field trip that is carried out together in a pleasant atmosphere makes students able to develop character in socialization while gaining satisfaction in learning.
