Abstract

The background of this activity is the the decreasing of teen’s interest and participation as the early voter in the political process. Social media use become the alternative that is expected to increase interactive political participation. On the other hand, the spreading of hoax through social media potentially disturb this political process. Thus, the social media literacy is needed by the early voter in order to accessing the political information in the right way. The method use in this activity is a workshop, including the technical way of using social media, knowledge about social media regulation, knowledge about the function and what’s in social media, also strategy in avoiding hoax when searching for political information. The workshop was held on September 19, 2018, with 66 students of SMA Negeri 5 Tangerang as the participants. The evaluation result shows that the participants are now able to search for political information and identify which one is hoax or not.Bahasa Indonesia Abstrak: Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi fenomena berkurangnya ketertarikan dan keterlibatan remaja sebagai pemilih pemula dalam proses politik. Penggunaan media sosial menjadi alternatif yang diharapkan dapat mendorong politik partisipatif yang bersifat interaktif. Di sisi lain, mewabahnya hoax melalui media sosial dapat mengganggu kehidupan masyarakat. Untuk itu, literasi penggunaan media sosial penting dilakukan dengan tujuan para pemilih pemula - bisa menggunakan media sosial dengan benar dalam mengakses informasi politik. Metode yang digunakan untuk kegiatan literasi ini berupa pelatihan. Materi pelatihan mencakup ketrampilan teknis penggunaan media sosial, pengetahuan tentang regulasi media sosial, pemahaman fungsi dan isi media sosial dan strategi pencarian informasi politik. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 September 2018 dengan peserta sebanyak 66 siswa SMA Negeri 5 Tangerang.  Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta dapat mencari informasi politik dengan benar dan dapat mengidentifikasi informasi/berita hoax.

Abstract

Food waste is one of many environmental issues in Indonesia that need to be solved. One of the solution to the problem is to manage the food waste and turn it to be something useful such as biogas and organic fertilizer. Yayasan Rumah Energi, an Indonesian NGO, is focusing themselves in this matter, they already found the way to manage the food waste, but then, they still need help to spread the awareness to the society. To help the organization, the team then using the digital world, to reach more people in the society. Another reason of using the digital channel is that in the time of pandemic, it is not possible to host an off-air event. The activity starting from analyzing the problem of the communication, setting the goals and objectives, preparing the strategy, coaching the communication personnel, and hosting digital event. Through the digital event, the team has raised awareness and get more people interested in the matter of food waste management

Abstract

Food waste management is still an unsolved problem in Indonesia, given that public awareness of this is still relatively low. The management of food waste that is not good will have an impact on the preservation of nature and the environment. Gen Z, which is hoped to be the catalyst of the change, is encouraged to understand this issue. In order to raise the awareness of Gen Z on this issue, a webinar was held by a team of lecturers together with a student organization called UMN ECO. Three perspectives are presented: an academician, a food bank organization Garda Pangan representative, and an Instagram eco influencer. A total of 633 university students coming from 16 universities joined the event. The evaluation shows that the students are mostly inspired by this event and eager to know more about food waste management.

Abstract

Opportunities for managing online reputation for organizations have now begun to be captured by business activists in the communication technology industry in Indonesia. Several corporations from various industries have tried this service to increase their reputation in the digital world, especially on social media. One of the service companies that started to run an online reputation management business and became the subject of this research is Company S, which provides the service of managing reputation in social media. Company S's managing online reputation will be analyzed using three stages of online reputation management: prevention, reaction, and evaluation. This study uses a qualitative approach and the nature of descriptive research, using case study methods, and collecting data using interviews and observations. As a result, Company S has implemented the process of online reputation management in the service they provide. The use of e-WOM, the presence of influencers, the selection of suitable social media, and attractive content planning also affect the online reputation of the clients' organizations.

Abstract

Penggunaan media baru untuk tujuan pewartaan iman kehidupan beragama semakin tidak terelakkan. Saat umat beragama menjadikan penggunaan media digital sebagai rutinitas, para komunikator iman juga perlu hadir di media digital untuk menyampaikan ajaran imannya. Lewat pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, kami mengadakan penguatan kapasitas pembuatan konten digital katekese dan literasi media bagi 32 calon imam Keuskupan Bogor di Seminari Tinggi St. Petrus Paulus, Bandung. Selama dua hari, peserta dibekali pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk menggunakan media baru dalam konteks pengajaran iman Katolik. Lima sesi yang dihadirkan mencakup orientasi sikap para pemuka agama Katolik terhadap perkembangan teknologi digital, kecermatan konsumsi informasi, kontekstualisasi konten, ragam multimedia baru, dan keterampilan produksi konten kreatif. Peserta juga diberi kesempatan untuk memproduksi konten sebagai hasil dari penguatan kapasitas ini. Program ini mendapat respon sangat baik dan diharapkan untuk diselenggarakan kembali dengan durasi yang lebih lama di kesempatan mendatang. Penguatan kapasitas ini menjadi contoh pelatihan media digital dan pembuatan konten dengan audiens para pemuka agama di Indonesia.
