Abstract

Simultaneous model is a model for some equation which have simultaneous relationships. It was often found in econometrics, such as the relationship between Gross Domestic Regional Product (GDRP) and poverty. GDP is a common indicator that can be used to determine the economic growth occurred in region. Meanwhile, poverty is one of the indicators to measure the society welfare. Information about these relathionships were important to perform the relathionsips between GDP and poverty. So this research conducted an analysis to obtain simultaneous models between GDRP and poverty. Estimation of the parameters used is Two-Stage Least Squares Estimation (2SLS). The data used are 33 provinces in Indonesia at 2010. By α = 5%, it was conclude that variable which significant effect on GDRP is poverty, export, and import. Meanwhile, the variables that significantly affect poverty are population. The simultaneous model (α = 5%) also conclude that there is no simultaneous relationship between GDRP and poverty. However, with α = 25%, there is a simultaneous relationship between GDRP and poverty.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assist the government in introducing traditional music instruments in Indonesia to the community, especially teenagers aged from 16-20 years. Given increasingly in modern era makes people start to forget traditional music instruments and prefers modern music instruments. The method used in this research is literature study, observation, application design, and application testing that has been made. Result obtained from this study is an application that can meet the objectives of the study. The conclusion of this study is that the application gave elements and information about some traditional music instruments in interesting ways through mobile app game followed with attractive appearance and could be one way of helping the government to preserve traditional music instruments and provide insight into knowledge through the history of the instrument.

Abstract

Dual tree complex wavelet transform (DTCWT) is widely used for representation of face image features. DTCWT is more frequently used than Gabor or Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) because it provides good directional selectivity in six different directions. Meanwhile, non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) is also frequently used since it can reduce high dimensional feature into smaller one without losing important features. This research focused on comparison between DTCWT and NMF as feature extraction and Euclidean Distance for classification. This research used ORL Faces database. Experimental result showed that NMF provided better results than DTCWT did. NMF reached 92% of accuracy and DTCWT reached 78% of accuracy.
