Abstract

The high prices of land causes the decreasing development of rental housing around activity centers such as workplaces, schools and others. The specific objective of this study is to identify and map the forms of existing partnerships between government, business, and community organizations in the construction of rental housing, to identify obstacles in the implementation and effectiveness of these partnerships, and to develop a partnership model that can include and involve all interests (stakeholders) either from the government (central or local), businesses, and communities, as well as their respective roles in realizing the construction of rental housing for low income community. This study implements is a qualitative method with exploratory descriptive and comparative approach. Data are obtained through surveys in several locations as representatives of existing forms of self-help construction of rental housing in Jakarta, West Java and Batam. Data collection technique used observation and interviews are supported by direct observation in the field. The model developed is aimedat promoting self-help development of affordable rental housing which involves a partnership among government, business, and society. The partnership should be beneficial to all three parties. It should also allow affordability of low-income community to rent the house in the form of licensing component funded by national and local government, construction financed by the business or government, while the land acquisition component can use the land the community or local government.

Abstract

Any provision of public facilities and infrastructure should provide accessibility for elderly to create a more supportive situation and environment for them in carrying out their social functions and active roles in community life as naturally, state and nation. Accessibility in this case is the availability of public facilities and infrastructure that can facilitate the mobility of elderly in public places, such as wheelchair ramp, the path for stick users, doors, stairs, elevators for multi-storey buildings, and pedestrian crossing. This accessibility can be both physical and non physical. In this research what to be studied is how the implementation of the existing flats can provide accessibility to the elderly residents. Using descriptive exploratory method the condition of their perceptions of occupied flats will be described. This study is carried out qualitatively using interviews.

Abstract

Various history books as media to learn the history of Indonesia people are actually quite complete and adequate. However, the interest of younger generation, especially the children, to read the books is quite low. Additionally, the advance of computer technology makes kids and students more interested playing game than reading books. The game trend backgrounds the need for research on the use of computer game application as a medium to learn the history of the building through a game. As the special purpose of this research is to obtain a game application that can be a medium of learning historical buildings. The research is divided into two stages: the first stage is to identify gaming software that can be used as an educational game for historical buildings and to develop the model of 3D gaming applications; the second phase is the application trial and implementation at schools.

Abstract

As the activities grow increasingly at Soekarno-hatta International Airport, the government in this case is PT Angkasa Pura needs to extend the airport by develop phase three in northern area of the existing airport. However, the expantion plan is opposed by the local goverment of Tangerang City because the plan may interfere with project of Tangerang Pantura Development Plan. For instead local goverment of Tangerang City proposes that the expantion would be build in the southern area. Obtaining the description of citizen attitude in this area is the aim of this study. This study is a descriptive research using a descriptive statistical analysis. Data collection using interviews with a questionnaire to respondends. By using Sherry Arnstein theory to measure the level of community participation. The analysis results indicated that the level of knowledge, awareness, and income levels affect the level of public participation in environmental management. Forms of participation provided most of the funds appropriated in the form of donations by income level.

Abstract

Good housing must be free from pollution and equipped with facilities such as roads, sewer, trash, clean water sources, street lights, playground, schools, worship places, meeting halls, and health center. This study aims to determine how far the level of implementation of good housing and any obstacles that arise in its application in small healthy houses, especially in Jabodetabek. The method uses a survey by taking samples from 30 healthy houses in Bojong Indah Residence, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Data collecting uses questionnaires and interviews associated with those as required and the results obtained are general descriptions of the actual conditions about how government regulations regarding to eligibility for health residences are applied, and the factors that influence the level of its application in development.The results of this research is expected to give inputs for national and local governments in making policies related to housing.
