Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji metafora tuturan penceramah dalam pengajian di wilayah kota Surakarta. Kemetaforaan tersebut meliputi: 1) Ranah sumber; 2) Tingkat kemetaforisan; 3) Hubungan ranah sumber dan target; 4) Berdasarkan pengalaman tubuh; 5) Ekspresivitas metafora.. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan metaforais penceramah dalam pengajian. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan teknik catat yang ditunjang dengan teknik rekam. Hasil rekaman kemudian ditranskripsikan secara ortografis dan dicocokkan dengan catatan yang telah dibuat sebelumnya. Analisis dalam penelitian menggunakan metode padan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara tingkat kemetaforisan, ranah sumber dan target, dan ekpresivitas metafora. Penceramah menggunakan percampuran pengalaman lama dan baru pada leksion mental dalam bertutur secara metafora. Tuturan metafora tersebut disesuaikan dengan latar belakang peserta pengajian yang dihadapi. (This research is about preachers’ speech metaphor in teachings in Surakarta. The metaphors includes: 1) The sources basis: 2) The metaphor level; 3) The relationship between sources and targets; 4) The body experiences: and 5) The metaphor expressivity. The data of this research is the metaphorical speech of preachers in teaching. The data is collected using observation method and note taking technique which is supported with recordings. The recordings are made into orthographic transcripts and compared to the notes taken. The analysis of the data is done using identity method. The research result shows that there is relation between the level of metaphors, the relationship between source and target, and the methapor expressivity. The preachers uses the mixing of old and new experiences in their mental lexicon in making speech metaphorically. The metaphorical speech is matched with the teaching background of audience.)

Abstract

Ancient text is an important historical relic as it carries certain messages. The messages is the real proof and moral teaching of ancient time. Language used here has its own uniqueness, especially lingual sign and context that is related to directive speech. This research studies directive speech variety in ancient text Tuntunan dalam Melakukan Hubungan Suami-Istri (TDMHSI) which consists in the lingual sign and context. TDMHSI text has the code 07_01666 and is stored in the Banda Aceh Public Museum. Located in Sultan Alaidin Mahmudsyah street, Banda Aceh. This text consists of 36 pages. This research aims to reveal sign and context of the TDMHS’s directive speech. The method applied was observation and the technique used were editing and dictation. Observation method applied aims to analyzed speech types, lingual sign and context of the TDMHSI’s text compare to other texts. Editing technique is useful to provide text closely similiar to the real one. Dictation text is used by writing what was dictated by Malay-Arabic language expert. This technique is needed to match the editing result so that information is not overlapped. This research found that there are 5 directive speech, whic are: prohibition (14 data), ordering (13 data), sugesting (5 data), begging (4 data), and reminding (1 data). Other lingual sign found are in the form of suffix as the basic form of directive speech, and context used as the basic dterminant directive speech.
