This article presents the dynamics of the succession of the king's regime in the Yogyakarta palace, which entered the crisis period because of the absence of successors to the male king. The emergence of the queen discourse that echoed at the Yogyakarta palace since 2010. It has sparked new tensions for the relatives of the palace. This discussion continues to grow. The words of the king echoed by Sultan Hamengku Buwono X under the pretext of gender became political ambition to perpetuate power. This study used the historical method to answer the problems that in every change of regimes in the Sultan Palace, Yogyakarta was always followed by conflicts over the throne and tug of war which affected the people outside the palace, such as when Islamic Mataram broke into four kingdoms. At that time, the community took part in regional warfare. This impact arose because of the desires of every descendant of the king, who feels entitled to become the next king.

Mobile cinema has existed since the reign of the Dutch East Indies. The people are always waiting for cheap entertainment from the government to go to the village. The existence of mobile cinema which became the prima donna of public entertainment was used by the government, especially during the Japanese occupation. Japan used it as a propaganda tool to support the war it was waging against the allies. This paper seeks to reconstruct the journey of traveling cinema that once colored the Indonesian entertainment scene. Mobile cinema, which is synonymous with entertainment, can in fact become a media wrapped in politics with the interests of the regime rulers. This study uses the historical method which explains the research problem from a historical perspective. The results of the study show that mobile cinema has many important roles, including promoting national films and government programs such as family planning, vaccines, elections and others. Through mobile cinemas, national films can be enjoyed by the wider community and government programs can be delivered directly to the public. At the end of the 1990s technology was growing, various entertainments emerged and entered the countryside. Mobile cinema slowly disappeared and began to be forgotten. Meanwhile, after a long period of dim, in the era of digital technology, mobile cinema is now back. Tulisan ini membahas peran kaum eksil Indonesia di Belanda dalam mendukung proses demokratisasi Indonesia dan usaha mempertahankan rasa nasionalisme mereka di Belanda dalam kurun waktu 1988-2020. Para eksil tidak hanya hadir menjadi saksi sejarah, tetapi juga berperan aktif dalam membangun narasai akternatif tentang Indonesia dari luar negeri. Melalui media cetak, forum diskusi, jaringan solidaritas internasional serta kanal digital pada era pascareformasi. Para eksil mempertahankan wacana kritis terhadap kekuasaan, melestarikan dokumentasi sejarah dan memberikan kontribusi pemikiran terhadap arah masa depan Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode sejarah, melalui heuristik penelusuran arsip, dokumen organisasi diaspora, film dokumenter, wawancara lisan dan literatur pustaka pendukung lainnya. Dilanjut dengan verifikasi, interpretasi dan historiografi.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun identitas kaum eksil Indonesia telah menjadi warga negara asing, demokrasi menjadi alat perjuangan mereka dalam melawan kekuasaan yang dianggap tidak adil terhadap rakyat. Kaum eksil Indonesia di Belanda berperan penting dalam menjaga identitas nasional sekaligus mendorong demokrasi di Indoesia dengan menjadikan nasionalisme sebagau kendaraan untuk perubahan politik yang lebih inklusif dan demokratis. Penelitian ini berupaya menyoroti bagaimana kaum eksil memaknai pengasingan sebagai ruang perjuangan, bukan sekadar keterpisahan fisik sehingga banyak orang memaknainya sebagai nasionalisme jarak jauh. Kata Kunci: Eksil, Belanda, Indonesia, Demokrasi
