Abstract

The purpose of this stady is to explain the socialization activities of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia Representative of Central Java to the public through public spaces with online media during the covid-19 pandemic. This study uses qualitative research methods with the type of explanatory research. Study found that the socialization of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia Representative of Central Java during the covid-19 pandemic can still manage to carried out various activities. In carrying out socialization activities in the network, the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia Representative of Central Java cannot carry out face-to-face, the online settings of the activities prevent the Ombudsman from seeing whether the participants pay attention to the activities or not, this is an obstacle faced by the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia  Representative of Central Java in socialization activities during the covid-19 pandemic. To conclude, the covid-19 pandemic affects the effectiveness of socialization activities carried out by the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia Representative of Central Java.Keywords: Ombudsman; Covid-19 pandemic; Socialization AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kegiatan sosialisasi Ombudsman Republik Indonesia Perwakilan Jawa Tengah kepada masyarakat melalui ruang publik dengan media dalam jaringan selama pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksplanatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi Ombudsman Republik Indonesia Perwakilan Jawa Tengah selama pandemi covid-19 tetap dapat dilakukan dengan lancar dan berbagai kegiatan masih tetap dapat dilakukan. Dalam melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi dalam jaringan, Ombudsman Republik Indonesia Perwakilan Jawa Tengah tidak dapat melakukan kegiatan secara tatap muka, sehingga Ombudsman tidak dapat melihat secara langsung apakah masyarakat mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi tersebut dengan saksama atau tidak, hal tersebut menjadi kendala yang dihadapi oleh Ombudsman Republik Indonesia Perwakilan Jawa Tengah selama kegiatan sosialisasi saat pandemi covid-19. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pandemi covid-19 berpengaruh pada keefektifan dari kegiatan sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh Ombudsman Republik Indonesia Perwakilan Jawa Tengah.Kata Kunci: Ombudsman; Pandemi covid-19; Sosialisasi
