Abstract

Ubi jalar menjadi salah satu bahan makanan dan memiliki beberapa varietas yang diantaranya memiliki kandungan antisionin yang besar. Antosianin berfungsi sebagai antioksidan serta dapat digunakan untuk identifikasi boraks. Antosianin memiliki kemampuan untuk bereaksi pada suasana asam maupun basa. Pada suasana asam antosianin berwarna merah dan berubah menjadi ungu dan biru pada suasana basa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengartahui keefektifan ekstrak ubi jalar putih,kuning dan ungu untuk identifikasi boraks. Penelitian ini dilakukan degan menggunakan metode maserasi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa ekstrak ubi jalar ungu lebih efektif untuk identifikasi boraks dibandingkan dengan ekstrak ubi jalar putih dan ubi jalar kuning. Kata kunci: Ubi jalar; Boraks

Abstract

Obesity or excess body weight is a predisposing factor for various diseases, one of which is because the accumulation of fatty tissue causes insulin resistance and causes an increase in sugar levels. This study aims to determine the description of glucose levels in obese patients. This research method is carried out through literature review that comes from various related studies, the stages starting from data collection, deepening the problem to be studied, then processing and analyzing the data obtained. From the literature results obtained several descriptions of glucose levels with various criteria for different respondents. Based on the description of various research results, it is found that there are differences in the value of blood sugar levels in obese and non-obese people and there is no relationship between physical activity and fasting blood glucose levels in DM patients

Abstract

Lack of hemoglobin (Hb) levels in pregnant women is a health problem that often occurs during pregnancy. A hemoglobin (Hb) level of less than 11 g/dl can indicate that pregnant women suffer from anemia. Anemia in pregnant women can increase the risk of giving birth to babies with low birth weight (LBW), the risk of bleeding before and during delivery, and can even cause death of the mother and baby if the mother has severe anemia. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between pregnant women's Hb levels and birth weight. This research was conducted by conducting a literature review from research journals related to the research topic, namely the relationship between Hb levels in pregnant women and birth weight. Based on literature studies from several studies, it can be concluded that low hemoglobin levels in pregnant women can increase the risk of having a low birth weight baby (LBW) because blood flow to the uterus is reduced, thereby blocking the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the placenta and fetus. However, in other studies, it can also be concluded that in addition to lack of hemoglobin levels in pregnant women, there are several other factors that can affect the occurrence of LBW such as severe illness, pregnancy complications, malnutrition, and stress conditions in pregnant women
