Abstract

Berdasarkan pengalaman dan pengamatan, bahwa proses pembelajaran biologi di SMA NW Mataram, umumnya masih menggunakan pola pendekatan yang bersifat klasikal, guru lebih mendominasi proses pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah, membaca, mengerjakan tugas-tugas dan latihan menjawab soal-soal, sedangkan siswa hanya duduk, mendengar, mencatat, menghafal dan mengerjakan latihan soal. Sehingga penulis mencoba alternatif dalam menggunakan media dalam proses pembelajaran, salah satunya dengan media pandang dengar yaitu pembelajaran dengan alat bantu VCD, televisi dan kaset CD karya Harun Yahya berjudul “keajaiban penciptaan manusia”.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dengan bantuan media pandang dengar dan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang kompetensi dasar yang ada pada mata pelajaran biologi. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi subyek penelitian adalah siswa SMA NW Mataram, kelas XI IPA semester (genap), tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Siswa berjumlah 24 orang yang terdiri dari laki-laki berjumlah 9 orang dan perempuan 15 orang. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi selama ini, peneliti menemukan nilai ulangan harian tiap siswa ≤ 6,5, rata-rata di kelas XI IPA mencapai kentuntasan belajar 45 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukan berdasarkan hasil evaluasi belajar siswa, rata-rata nilai test pada siklus I adalah 6,12 dengan prosentase kelulusan klasikal adalah 81,82 %,. Selanjutnya rata-rata test pada siklus II adalah 6,50 dengan persentase kelulusan klasikal 90,48 %, terjadi peningkatan baik pada nilai rata-rata maupun persentase kelulusan. Berikutnya rata-rata nilai test siklus III adalah 7,62 dengan persentase kelulusan klasikal 95,65 %, juga terjadi kenaikan yang signifikan. Demikian juga dengan hasil penilian observasi pada kegiatan guru dalam pembelajaran, secara umum menunjukkan hasil kategori sangat baik yaitu mencapai 80,56 % dan 88,89% pada siklus I dan II, kemudian 94,44 % pada siklus III. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media pandang dengar pada pembelajaran biologi dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang kompetensi dasar yang ada pada mata pelajaran biologi.

Abstract

Berdasarkan pengalaman dan pengamatan penulis bahwa proses pembelajaran biologi di SMA NW Mataram, umumnya masih menggunakan pola pendekatan yang bersifat klasikal, guru lebih mendominasi proses pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah, membaca, mengerjakan tugas-tugas dan latihan menjawab soal-soal. Sedangkan siswa hanya duduk, mendengar, mencatat, menghafal, dan mengerjakan latihan soal. Sehingga penulis mencoba alternatif dalam menggunakan media dalam proses pembelajaran, salah satunya dengan media kancing genetika yaitu pembelajaran dengan menggunakan alat bantu berupa benda yang mirip kancing. Media kancing genetika ini biasanya dipakai pada materi pembelajaran pewarisan sifat. Selain menggunakan media juga diterapkan model pembelajaran Tim Siswa-Kelompok Prestasi yaitu suatu model pembelajaran kooperatif, yang menekankan pada kerja sama kelompok dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan. Pemakaian media dan model pembelajaran ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi subyek penelitian adalah siswa SMA NW Mataram, kelas XII IPA semester V (ganjil), tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil evaluasi belajar siswa, rata-rata nilai test pada siklus I sebesar 7,03 dengan prosentase kelulusan klasikal adalah 76,92 %. Selanjutnya rata-rata test pada siklus II adalah 6,43 dengan prosentase kelulusan klasikal 78,57%, terjadi peningkatan pada prosentase kelulusan, sedangkan rata-rata mengalami penurunan. Berikutnya rata-rata nilai test siklus III adalah 6,74 dengan prosentase kelulusan klasikal 85,71%, juga terjadi kenaikan yang sesuai dengan indicator keberhasilan yaitu 85 % untuk hasil evaluasi secara klasikal. Demikian juga dengan hasil penilaian observasi pada kegiatan guru dalam pembelajaran, secara umum menunjukkan hasil kategori sangat baik yaitu mencapai 78 % pada siklus I, 80,60% pada siklus II dan 86,10% pada siklus III. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media kancing genetika dengan model pembelajaran Tim Siswa-Kelompok Prestasi, pada pembelajaran biologi dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang kompetensi dasar yang ada pada mata pelajaran biolo

Abstract

The application of conventional methods such as lectures without using teaching aids can have a negative effect on students such as low student learning achievement. In the pre-cycle action, the average value of student learning achievement only reached 46.6%. Only 17 students out of 36 were declared to have achieved learning completeness. The application of the inquiry method can be a solution for teachers to improve student learning achievement. The purpose of this learning improvement is to improve the learning achievement of Class XI Matematika dan Ilmu Alam (MIA) 1 students of Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri (SMAN) 9 Mataram. The subjects of this study were 21 students of Class XI MIA 1 SMAN 9 Mataram. Learning improvement actions were carried out in 3 cycles. The expected benefits of this study are: For teachers, it is expected to broaden their horizons and improve teacher professionalism, for students of course to improve their learning achievement, and for institutions or schools it is expected to be useful as an innovation in teaching and learning. The application of the inquiry method in learning shows that student learning achievement has increased significantly. In Cycle 1, the average value reached 56.6%, increasing to 63.6% in Cycle 2 and increasing again to 75.42% in Cycle 3. The results obtained from this learning improvement action are that inquiry learning can improve the learning achievement of Class XI MIA 1 SMAN 9 Mataram students in biology subjects in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

Based on experience and observation, that the biological learning process at SMA NW Mataram, generally still uses a classic approach pattern, teachers dominate the learning process by talking, reading, doing tasks and training to answer questions, while students only sit, listen, record, memorize and do problem exercises. So that the author tried alternatives in using media in the learning process, one of which was with the hearing media, namely learning with VCD aids, televisions and CD cassettes by Harun Yahya entitled "the miracle of human creation". The aim of this study is to improve students' learning achievement with the help of hearing media and improve students' understanding of the basic competencies that exist in biology subjects. In this study, the subject of the study was a student of SMA NW Mataram, class XI IPA semester (even), school year 2020/2021. The students numbered 24 people consisting of men totaling 9 people and women 15 people. Based on the results of the evaluation so far, researchers found that the daily repeat score of each student ≤ 6.5, the average in class XI IPA reached a learning level of 45%. The results showed that based on the results of student learning evaluations, the average test score in cycle I was 6.12 with a classical graduation percentage of 81.82%., Furthermore, the average test in cycle II is 6.50 with a classic graduation percentage of 90.48%, there is an increase in both the average score and the graduation percentage. The next average test score of cycle III is 7.62 with a classic pass percentage of 95.65%, there is also a significant increase. Likewise, the results of observations on teacher activities in learning, in general, showed excellent category results, reaching 80.56% and 88.89% in cycles I and II, then 94.44% in cycle III. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of hearing media to biological learning can improve students' learning achievements and can improve students' understanding of the basic competencies that exist in biology subjects.

Abstract

Based on the author's experience and observation that the biological learning process at SMA NW Mataram, generally still uses a classic approach pattern, teachers dominate the learning process with lecture methods, reading, doing tasks and training to answer questions. While students just sit, listen, take notes, memorized, and do problem exercises. So that the author tried alternatives in using media in the learning process, one of which is with genetic button media, namely learning by using tools in the form of objects that resemble buttons. This genetic button media is usually used in trait inheritance learning materials. In addition to using the media is also applied the learning model of the Student-Achievement Group Team, which is a cooperative learning model, which emphasizes group cooperation in understanding the material taught. Likewise with the results of observation assessments on teacher activities in learning. The use of media and learning models aims to improve student learning achievement and improve student understanding In this study who are the subject of research are students of SMA NW Mataram, class XII IPA semester V, school year 2019/2020. The results showed of student learning evaluation, the average test score in first cycle was 7.03 with a classical graduation percentage of 76.92%. Furthermore, the average test in second cycle is 6.43 with a classic graduation percentage of 78.57%. There was an increase in the percentage of graduations, while the average decreased. Next, the average value of the third cycle test is 6.74 with a classical graduation percentage of 85.71%, there is also an increase in accordance with the success indicator that is 85% for classical evaluation results. Likewise, the results of observation assessments on teacher activities in learning, in general showed excellent category results, reaching 78% in first cycle, 80.60% in second cycle and 86.10% in third cycle. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of genetic button media with the student-achievement group team learning model, in biology learning can improve students' learning achievements and can improve students' understanding of basic competencies in biology subjects.
