Abstract

This article aims to identify common practices in Indonesian e-commerce regarding terms of use and privacy policies. Website visit rankings from Alexa and Similarweb were used to identify the 10 most commonly visited e-commerce sites in Indonesia. Then, placement, length, and content structure of the terms of service and privacy policies of these websites were compared. Findings suggest that the information provided by these documents is sufficient and legally compliant, although some of the websites appear to disregard their importance. The actual contents of these documents were not analyzed and are thus open for further study. The information provided in this article may give merchants intending to open e-commerce stores in Indonesia some insight into how the protection of consumers’ personal data leads to better service. This paper also proposes a simple framework for assessing the extent to which an e-commerce website successfully ensures that consumers agree and consent to its terms of use without burdening them with lengthy and obscure legal documents. Abstract

Indonesia's crypto asset ecosystem has grown substantially, ranking sixth globally in adoption, yet its regulatory architecture for crypto asset issuance remains fragmented and inadequately defined. This study examines the evolutionary trajectory of Indonesia's issuance-related regulatory framework, tracing the shift from the commodity-based positive-list regime under Surat Keputusan (SK) Bappebti Number 13 of 2022, through the transition to financial sector governance under Peraturan OJK (POJK) Number 27 of 2024, and the subsequent amendments introduced by POJK Number 23 of 2025. Employing a normative juridical method with comparative law and statutory approaches, this study benchmarks Indonesia's framework against the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 currently the most comprehensive issuance-specific crypto asset law globally. The analysis reveals six critical regulatory gaps in Indonesia's issuance regime, including the absence of a formal white paper obligation, the lack of pre-issuance issuer authorization, no technical due diligence mandates, and an inadequate disclosure liability framework. In response, this article proposes a Three-Gate Regulatory Architecture Model comprising Gate I (Registration and White Paper Validation), Gate II (Technical Due Diligence), and Gate III (OJK Approval and License Issuance), complemented by transitional provisions for existing assets. This model represents a legally grounded and proportionate reconstruction of Indonesia's crypto asset issuance regulation, aligned with international best practices while respecting Indonesia's regulatory sovereignty.

Abstract

Emotion recognition is a foundational component of early childhood socio-emotional development, yet caregivers often lack structured educational media to systematically facilitate this learning within the home environment. This mixed-methods study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of active parental involvement in habituating emotion recognition in children aged 4 to 6 years through interactive books. Employing a pre-experimental, one-group pre-test and post-test design, the study involved 10 child-parent dyads from the Jakarta and Tangerang regions during a one-week intervention. Quantitative data, analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test, revealed a statistically significant improvement in the children's emotion recognition abilities following the intervention (p=.011). Concurrently, qualitative data from in-depth parental interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis in NVivo. The qualitative findings demonstrated that parents employed highly fluid, situational parenting styles to scaffold their children's emotional learning. The interactive book not only served as an effective attentional deployment mechanism for the children but also fostered a reciprocal co-learning environment, thereby enhancing the children's emotional communication and the parents' behavioral regulation. Ultimately, the integration of multimodal interactive media with emotionally responsive parental scaffolding significantly advances early childhood emotional competence and fortifies intra-familial bonds.
