Abstract

In the perspective of history, the religious and cultural system of Patani Malays in Southern Thailand have underground evolution development stages from animism and dynamism to Hinduism and Buddhism. This ‘’old’’ culture has been handed down into the traditions and values as well as the mindset of the present day life and culture of the Patani Malays. The arrival of Islam has brought chnges in the religious and cultural system of the Patani Malays. The Patani’s worldview was formerly based on the religious and cultural system of animism, dynamism, Hinduism, and Buddhism in the term of their customs and traditions. This study examines the process of inculturation of Islamic values into Patani malay’s culture in Southern Thailand. This study used a descriptive-analytical method and an historical-anthropological approach. This study researches the Patani malay’s religious system and culture as manifested in their everyday life and the dynamic relationship of Islamic values and local culture. In so doing, the study can describe and analyze the development of Islamic Values and Patani Malay’s culture have eventually facilitated the process of its inculturation into Patani Malay’s religious system and culture.Keywords: The religious systems, Islamic values, culture, inculturation.

Abstract

As part of the science , the study of hadith needs to get development and innovation. Therefore, it is necessary for the reconstruction of critical studies chains and Matan. This article will discuss the possibility of reconstruction critical studies chains and Matan hadith. Sanad criticism (kritik sanad) needs to be developed on the use of data derived from the book in addition to the books of Rijal that conclusion on levels of integrity and intellectual person can be formulated more accurately and emphasize objectivity. Meanwhile, critical studies of matan also need to be developed by applying the hermeneutical method in understanding the text of the Prophet, in order to reject the mindset of tasâhul in the weakness of traditions as well as traditions that gave birth to the meaning of its as shâlih likulli zamân wa makân.[Sebagai bagian dari ilmu pengetahuan, studi hadis perlu mendapatkan pengembangan dan inovasi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya rekonstruksi atas kajian kritik sanad dan matan. Artikel ini akan membahas kemungkinan rekonstruksi kriitk sanad dan matan hadis.  Kritik sanad perlu dikembangkan pada pemanfaatan data-data yang berasal dari kitab selain kitab-kitab rijâl agar konklusi atas kadar integritas dan intelektualitas seseorang bisa diformulasikan secara lebih akurat dan menekankan aspek objektivitas. Sementara itu, kritik matan juga perlu dikembangkan dengan menerapkan metode hermenetika dalam memahami teks Nabi, supaya bisa menolak pola pikir tasâhul dalam pendhaifan hadis sekaligus juga melahirkan makna hadis yang shâlih likulli zamân wa makân.]

Abstract

In Indonesia, the attitude of radicalism and intolerance within Islam has flourished over the last few decades. There are several factors that encourage the emergence of it. One of them is the waning of Islamic Studies in various educational institutions today. As a result, Islam is only understood to be a matter of aqeedah and worship. Basically, many studies have been conducted to tackle radical and intolerant behavior with various approaches: social, political, economic, etc. In this paper, one offer of solutions through Islamic Studies in traditional Islamic Boarding School education institutions will be discussed. The findings in the field stated that the curriculum applied in Islamic Boarding School became one of the significant factors in the efforts of deradicalization. It can not be separated from the open-minded learning method and various teaching materials of Islamic Boarding School that made students to be familiar with diversity.[Di Indonesia, sikap radikalisme dan intoleranisme dalam Islam tumbuh subur selama beberapa dekade terakhir. Ada beberapa macam faktor yang mendorong munculnya hal tersebut. Salah satu di antaranya adalah memudarnya kajian Islamic Studies dalam berbagai lembaga pendidikan dewasa ini. Akibatnya, Islam hanya dipahami sebatas persoalan akidah dan ibadah saja. Pada dasarnya telah banyak studi dilakukan guna menanggulangi perilaku radikal dan intoleran dengan berbagai pendekatan: sosial, politik, ekonomi, dll. Dalam tulisan ini akan dibahas salah satu tawaran solusi melalui Studi Islam dalam lembaga pendidikan pesantren tradisional. Temuan di lapangan menyatakan bahwa kurikulum yang diterapkan di pesantren menjadi salah satu faktor signifikan dalam upaya deradikalisasi. Hal ini tak lepas dari metode pembelajaran pesantren yang terbuka serta bahan ajar yang beragam sehingga menyebabkan santri terbiasa dengan perbedaan.]
