Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe ethical issues, the realization of the ethical responsibilities of teachers, the principal's efforts in managing the ethical responsibilities of teachers in learning Christian religious education during the Covid-19 pandemic. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative research method which was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Manado. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation studies. From the results of data analysis and interpretation, it was found that: (1) Ethical problems in the implementation of Christian religious education learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Manado found three important problems (2) The form of the teacher's ethical responsibility in learning Christian religious education is that the teacher has tried to realize his responsibilities wholeheartedly according to his conscience, also by realizing his calling to serve students and continuing to guide the spirituality of students in order to improve the quality of life and maturity of faith. (3) Efforts made by school principals in managing the ethical responsibilities of teachers have been carried out through evaluation meetings to confirm the rules regarding the main tasks and functions of professional teachers, problem solving, sharing and reflection meetings. From the results of data exposure, findings and discussion, it is certain that schools can help teachers provide free internet quotas as well as provide more learning media such as tabs or laptops to lend to underprivileged students, Christian religious education teachers can increase creativity in teaching also use learning media. Students should continue to improve their quality to become independent and have integrity.

Abstract

The study descriptively analyzed the implementation of the functions of Christian Chaplain for the development of Christian Education in North Sulawesi. Qualitative research method was applied and software NVivo 14 was used for analyzing data. This study was aimed to investigate the application of the four functions of Christian chaplain, namely, informative-educative, consultative, advocative, and administrative, as stated in the Technical Guide of Christian chaplain Number 137 Year 2017. The result showed that Christian chaplains, generally, had not yet understood those functions, characterized by the conventional practice of chaplaincy, which is by conducting worship. Primarily, uncomprehending and lacking of managerial competency became the main reasons of the traditional practice. To be professional, in applying the informative, Christian chaplain had to include identification and evaluation stages as part of managerial competency. For consultative function, Christian chaplain need to apply consultation steps by Killman and Miltroff and applying 7 advocation step of the Open Society Foundations for advocacy, and Fayol stage of administration for administrative function. This study was expected to open the opportunity of policy redesigning concerning of recruitment, education and competencies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze efforts to manage conflict effectively for Christian adolescents in dealing with social dynamics among adolescents. This study uses a descriptive method based on observations of adolescent cases in Teling Atas Village, Lingkungan 1, Manado, and a literature review that strengthens efforts to manage the social conflict of teenagers. The study's results indicate that teenagers' social dynamics that have the potential for conflict require the ability to manage the conflict, and teenagers have the potential to do so through social maturity. This study concludes that Christian education, which focuses on family education, has great potential to shape the social maturity of teenagers, especially Generation Z.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menganalisis upaya mengelola konflik yang efektif bagi remaja Kristen dalam menghadapi dinamika sosial di kalangan remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif berbasis pada observasi kasus remaja di Kelurahan Teling Atas, Lingkungan 1, Manado, dan kajian literatur yang memperkuat upaya manajemen konflik sosial remaja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dinamika sosial remaja yang berpotensi pada konflik membutuhkan kemampuan dalam mengelola konflik tersebut, dan remaja memiliki potensi untuk melakukannya melalui kedewasaan sosial. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah, pendidikan kristiani, yang difokuskan pada pendidikan keluarga, sangat berpeluang untuk membentuk kedewasaan sosial remaja, khususnya Generasi Z.

Abstract

This research aim to analyze and describe the strategies of Christian religious edication teachers in controlling bullying behavior at SMK N PP Kalaset, Minahasa Regency. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Observations, interviews, an literature studies are the researchers way of collecting data and finding information that to control bullying behavior, Christian religious education teachers are also involved in change agent groups or anti-bullting messages using appropriate learning strategies, and taking teacher approaches to students to better control students. In and knowing the most appropriate strategy to apply. While in previous research on bullying was always linked to the strategies of guidance an counseling teachers, this time the research describes a strategy that focuses on Christian religious education teachers in controlling bullying behavior at SMK N PP Kalasey, Minahasa Regency.
