Abstract

Relasi pertumbuhan (G) dan ransum harian (R) dari ransum nol sampai ransum maksimal telah dipelajari pada benih ikan lele (Clarias batrachus L.) berukuran bobot rata-rata 21,7 ± 7,94 mg dalam kondisi iluminasi alami dan kisaran suhu 22,9-26,1oC untuk memahami aksi faktor-faktor lingkungan terhadap pertumbuhan. Perbedaan respon pertumbuhan benih ikan lele terhadap perbedaan ransum harian tampak amat jelas.  Peningkatan ransum harian diikuti dengan peningkatan laju pertumbuhan dengan penambahan yang semakin berkurang dengan mengikuti persamaan G = -5,379 + 1,447 R – 0,016 R2. Pertumbuhan nol (Gnol = 0%), pertumbuhan optimal (Gopt. = 15,77%) dan pertumbuhan maksimal (Gmaks.= 27,32%) berturut-turut diperoleh dari tingkat pemberian ransum pemeliharaan 3,88%, ransum optimal 18,33% dan ransum maksimal 45,21% bobot badan kering per hari.Growth (G) and daily ration (R) relationship from zero ration to maximum ration has been studied in catfish (Clarias batrachus L.) fry of 21.7± 7.94 mg in average body weight under natural illumination and temperature range of 22.9-26.1oC to study the effect of environmental factors on growth. Different growth responses have been shown by catfish fry fed with different daily rations. Increasing in daily ration was followed by increasing in growth rate with downward increment according to equation of G = -5.379 + 1.447 R – 0.016 R2. Zero growth (Go = 0%), optimum growth (Gopt. = 15.77%) and maximum growth (Gmax. = 27,32%) were gained, respectively, from maintenance ration of 3.88%, optimum ration of 18,33% and maximum ration of 45.21% dry body weight per day.
