Abstract

Anatomical evidence in the taxonomy of Zingiber zerumbet complex. Direct comparison and computer analysis of data derived from leaf anatomy of Zingiber zerumbet, Z. amaricans, Z. aromaticum and Z. littorale support the notion that these taxa should be regarded as distinct species. A key to these four species based on leaf anatomical characters is also presented.
