<![CDATA[ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berjudul pemanfaatan hutan Burni Telong sebagai hutan produktif oleh masyarakat di desa Rembune Kecamatan Timang Gajah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan hutan berdasarkan pemaknaan masyarakat terhadap hutan Burni Telong. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. yaitu untuk melihat dan mendeskripsikan hutan sebagai bagian dari masyarakat Pemilihan informan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling, yakni pengambilan data dari informan yang telah dikriteriakan sebelumnya. Kriteria tersebut berupa masyarakat yang tinggal dikawasan hutan Burni telong serta yang mempunyai lahan di lereng hutan burni telong. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Teknik validitas data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan hutan oleh masyarakat di desa Rembune sangat bergantung kepada tindakan manusia. Ada manusia yang memanfatkan hutan sebatasnya saja ada juga yang memanfatkan hutan sekaligus menjaga hutan agar tetap lestari. Pemaknaan masyarakat terhadap hutan dalam aspek kepentingan lingkungan sangat dipengaruhi oleh bagaimana masyarakat memanfatkan lingkungan tersebut. Jika masyarakat menjaga hutan maka masyarakat lain juga akan ikut menjaga hutan. The purpose of this research is to know the utilization of Burni Telong forest based on the meaning and understanding of society to forest. And see how far people in Rembune village participate in maintaining the forest of Burni Telong forest.The theory used in this research is the theory of symbolic interactionism developed by Herbert Blumer. To see the extent to which the community understood and understood the forest of burni Telong as a productive forest that is used by the community for other needs such as young plants.To achieve this research, the type of research used is qualitative research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Namely to see and describe the understanding and meaning of the community in viewing the forest as part of the community. Technique of taking informant is purposive sampling technique that is taking data from informant which have been criticized before. The number of informants in this research is 6 people consisting of 1 person of customary figure / imam 1 geuchik 2 men of Rembune society and 2 women of Rembune society. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.
