<![CDATA[THERAPEUTIC COMMUNICATION NURSE AND PATIENT BY ACEH PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITALABSTRAK - Penelitian ini berjudul “Komunikasi Terapeutik Perawat Terhadap Pasien di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh”. Komunikasi terapeutik merupakan komunikasi yang harus dimiliki dan dilakukan perawat Rumah Sakit Jiwa secara terencana yang bertujuan untuk membantu pemulihan pasien gangguan jiwa salah satunya pasien gangguan jiwa intermediate. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor penghambat komunikasi terapeutik menurut Potter dan Perry yang ada di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh serta faktor penghambat lainnya yang terjadi di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teori penetrasi sosial yang dikemukakan oleh Dalman dan taylor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi nonpartisipan dan dokumentasi. Wawancara tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu menentukan informan berdasarkan sejumlah kriteria yang telah ditentukan yaitu terhadap 5 orang perawat Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh yang menerapkan komunikasi terapeutik pada pasien gangguan jiwa intermediate. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, faktor penghambat komunikasi terapeutik menurut Potter dan Perry di Rumah Sakit Jiwa terdapat tiga faktor yaitu faktor emosi, faktor lingkungan, dan faktor jarak. Sedangkan faktor penghambat komunikasi terapeutik lainnya yang terdapat di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Aceh yaitu faktor bahasa. Therapeutic communication is a must-have communication and performed by a planned Mental Hospital nurses who intend to assist the recovery of the mental disorder patients, one of them is intermediate mental disorder patients. This study purposed to determine the therapeutic communication inhibiting factors according to Potter and Perry in Aceh Mental Hospital and other inhibiting factors that occurred in Aceh Mental Hospital. The theory used in this research was social penetration theory proposed by Dalman and Taylor. The method used was qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The data was collected by semi-structured interview technique, nonparticipant observation and documentation. The interview was conducted by using purposive sampling technique that was determining the informant based on a number of predetermined criteria on 5 nurses of Aceh Mental Hospital applied therapeutic communication to intermediate mental disorder patients. Based on the results of research, there were three therapeutic communication inhibiting factors according to Potter and Perry in Mental Hospital such as emotional factors, environmental factors, and distance factors.
