<![CDATA[Abstrak Perilaku pemilih masyarakat Etnis Tionghoa pada pilkada Aceh Tengah Tahun 2017 merupakan masalah yang sangat menarik untuk dikaji. Secara ideal tujuan penulis didalam penelitian ini ingin membahas perilaku pemilih masyarakat Etnis Tionghoa yang ada di Kabupaten Aceh Tengah pada saat Pilkada di tahun 2017 yang lalu dan faktor-faktor yang melatar belakangi mereka dalam menentukan pilihannya. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yaitu kualitatif deskriftif. Cara mengumpulkan data berupa observasi, menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam untuk memahami masalah yang diteliti. Data primer yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, kemudian data sekunder melalui buku-buku, jurnal dan media massa. Kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori Perilaku Pemilih. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Lut Tawar, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku pemilih masyarakat etnis Tionghoa di Kecamatan Lut Tawar dalam memilih Kepala Daerah Bupati dan Wakil Bupati di Aceh Tengah lebih cenderung kepada perilaku pemilih tradisional, sebab pilihan mereka dilandasi atas kedekatan terhadap salah satu calon Bupati. Kemudian ada juga yang cenderung kepada pemilih rasional, akan tetapi tetap faktor historis kedekatan mereka terhadap salah seorang calon Bupati memiliki pengaruh besar dalam pertimbangan mereka. Kemudian kecenderungan masyarakat etnis Tionghoa di Kecamatan Lut Tawar terhadap perilaku pemilih skeptis dan kritis sangatlah kecil. Saran yang dapat diberikan ialah,lembaga penyelenggara yaitu KIP/KPU harus memberikan pendidikan politik terhadap masyarakat etnis Tionghoa dan Perlu diberi pemahan kepada masyarakat etnis Tionghoa di Kabupaten Aceh tengah bahwa mereka memiliki kedudukan yang sama dengan pemilih etnis mayoritas yang lainnya. Kata Kunci: Perilaku pemilih, Etnis Tionghoa, Aceh Tengah.The Behaviour of Voters of Ethnic Chinese Communities in The Regency Central Aceh at The Time of The 2017 Elections (A Study In District Lut Tawar of Central Aceh Regency) Abstract The behavior of the voters of ethnic Chinese communities for the regional election in Central Aceh for 2017 is a very interesting problem to study. Ideally, the aim of the writer in this study would be to discuss the behavior of voters of ethnic Chinese communities in Central Aceh Regency in the elections in 2017 and the factors behind their choice. In this study, the writer used qualitative research methods, namely qualitative descriptive. How to collect data in the form of observation, using in-depth interview techniques to understand the problem under study. Primary data obtained through interviews, and the secondary data obtained through books, journals, and mass media, and then analyzed using the voter behavior theory. The study was conducted in Lut Tawar Sub-district, Central Aceh Regency. The results of this study indicate that the behavior of Chinese ethnic voters in Lut Tawar Sub-district in choosing Regional Heads of Regents and Deputy Regents in Central Aceh tended to traditional voter behavior because their choices were based on the closeness with one of the candidates of the Regent. Then there were also those who tended to rational voters, but still the historical factor of their proximity to one of the candidates for the Regent had a big influence on their consideration. Then, the tendency of Chinese people in Lut Tawar Sub-district towards skeptical and critical voter behavior is very small. The advice that can be given is that the organizing institution, namely KIP / KPU, must provide political education to the ethnic Chinese community and it is necessary to give understanding to the ethnic Chinese community in Central Aceh Regency that they have the same position as the other majority ethnic voters.
