<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji usaha kelompok UPPKS dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan anggotanya,dengan menggunakan analisa sosiologis. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Bebesen pada satu kelompok UPPKS yang telah dibentuk oleh Kantor Koordinasi Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN). Kemudian untuk menggali kendala-kendala yang dihadapi oleh pembina dan penyuluh UPPKS tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pemberdayaan Jim Ife. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok UPPKS Dahlia yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Bebesen Kabupaten Aceh Tengah sangat tertarik dan antusias dalam menekuni kerajinan merajut. Praktek ekonomi yang dilakukan kelompok UPPKS Dahlia yaitu melalui pemberian keuntungan secara langsung kepada anggotanya dari barang/produk yang dihasilkan. Kontribusi secara tidak langsung yaitu kemajuan pemikiran akan pengembangan suatu kerajinan terutama dalam bidang merajut dan mejahit melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat. Faktor kendala yang dihadapi pembina/penyuluh adalah masalah penyesuaian waktu (jadual penyuluhan/pendampingan) antara anggota kelompok UPPKS dengan penyuluh/pendamping karena seluruh anggota kelompok UPPKS ini adalah ibu rumah tangga. Di pihak lain, minat konsumen untuk membeli produk kerajinan rajutan benang bersifat musiman sesuai dengan masa (mengikuti trend); Artinya minat konsumen terhadap produk ini timbul dan tenggelam sehinga kelompok UPPKS perlu mengadakan diversifikasi produk, tidak berfokus pada kerajinan merajut dan menjahit saja. The study was conducted in the District of Bebesen in a UPPKS group that had been formed by the National Family Planning Coordinating Office (BKKBN). Then to explore the obstacles faced by the UPPKS coaches and instructors. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. This study uses the Jim Ife empowerment theory. The results showed that the Dahlia UPPKS group located in Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency was very interested and enthusiastic in pursuing knitting crafts. The economic practice carried out by the Dahlia UPPKS group is through providing benefits directly to its members from the goods / products produced. Indirect contribution is the progress of thinking about the development of a craft, especially in the field of knitting and sewing through community empowerment. The constraint factor faced by the coaches / instructors is the problem of time adjustment (counseling / accompaniment schedule) between members of the UPPKS group and extension counselors because all members of the UPPKS group are housewives. On the other hand, consumer interest in buying knitted yarn craft products is seasonal according to time (following the trend); This means that consumer interest in these products arises and sinks so that the UPPKS group needs to diversify their products, not focus on just knitting and sewing crafts.
