<![CDATA[ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh penggunaan smartphone dalamgaya hidup modern terhadap komunikasi interpersonal kalangan pemudadi Kecamatan Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh.Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui pengaruh penggunaan smartphone terhadap komunikasiinterpersonal pemuda di Kecamatan Syiah Kuala.Jenis penelitian iniadalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan penelitiandeskriptif.Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 50 respondenyang terpilih dengan teknik Purposive Sampling.Teknik pengumpulandata yang menyebarkan kuesioner.Data primer dalam penelitian inidiperoleh dari kuesioner yang skala pengukurannya menggunakan skalalikert dan diolah secara statistik dengan program SPSS versi 20.0 yaitu ujivaliditas dan reabilitas, uji hipotesis, uji regresi linear sederhana.Berdasarkan hasil dari analisis regresi liniear sederhana bahwa terdapatpengaruh yang cukup positif antara penggunaan smartphone terhadapkomunikasi interpersonal pemuda dengan koefisien regresi 0,438(hubungan yang cukup erat). Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilaithitung adalah 3.37 dan nilai ttabel pada α 0,05 pada uji 2 sisi diketahui 2,49.Berdasarkan kriteria uji hipotesis yaitu jika thitung lebih besar darittabel(3,372,49), maka Ha diterima.Oleh karena itu, dapat dinyatakanbahwa penggunaan smartphone memiliki pengaruh yang signifikansidengan variabel komunikasi interpersonal.Artinya pengunaansmartphone dapat mempengaruhi sikap komunikasi interpersonalpemuda.Kata kunci: Smartphone, komunikasi interpersonal, pemudaThe influence of the use of smartphones in modern lifestyleon interpersonal communication among the youth in the District of Syiah Kuala,Banda Aceh.ABSTRACTThis study entitled "The influence of the use of smartphones in modern lifestyleon interpersonal communication among the youth in the District of Syiah Kuala,Banda Aceh. Thisresearch is a quantitative study with descriptive approach. The number ofrespondents in this study were 50 respondents were selected by purposivesampling technique. Data collection techniques used in this research is a field thatis by distributing questionnaires. Primary data in this study were obtained fromquestionnaires measurement scale using Likert scale and statistically processedwith SPSS version 20.0 is test validity and reliability, hypothesis testing, simplelinear regression test. Based on the results of a simple linear regression analysisthat there is a considerable positive influence between the use of smartphones tothe youth interpersonal communication with a regression coefficient of 0.438 (afairly close relationship). The hypothesis testing results obtained tcount is 3:37and the value of α ttable at 0.05 in test 2 side note 2.49.
