Abstract

This study takes the title "Efforts of School Principals in Empowering Administrative Employees in SMA Negeri 1 PSEKSU Kab. Lahat ". The problem in this thesis is how the principal's efforts in empowering administrative staff in SMA Negeri 1 PSEKSU Kab. Lahat? And what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of school principals in empowering administrative staff in SMA Negeri 1 PSEKSU Kab. Lahat ?. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts of school principals in empowering administrative staff in SMA Negeri 1 PSEKSU in Lahat Regency and to know the supporting and inhibiting factors of school principals in empowering civil servants in the SMAN region.There is a type of data in research is a qualitative data that includes information about things that are related to the head of the school in empowerment of employees or businesses in SM Anegeri 1 PSEKSU Kab. Lahat. Sources of data in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data, primary data consisted of school principals, administrative staff and teachers, while secondary data were a number of supporting data in the form of documentation, archives and literature-literature that were subject to the research discussed. For data collection, researchers used observation techniques, interviews and documentation.Then it was concluded that the efforts of the headmaster in empowering the administrative staff obtained in this study were, first, the principal had empowered quite well and was connected with the vision of the school. Second, the principal conducts empowerment directed towards using examples, third, establishes good communication with administrative staff, fourth, the principal reviews the school's organizational structure so that staff can find out their positions and tasks, fifth, the principal strengthen team / group keraja by means of communicating well, holding joint meetings, involving administrative staff to attend training, sixth, the principal encourages personal development of administrative staff with, seventh, the principal makes the service a focus so that it can attract interest community to register their children and can increase the number of students in high schools 1 Pseksu Kab. Lahat, and finally the principal conducts an evaluation. The supporting factors in empowering administrative staff are: First, there is trust between superiors and subordinates Second, mutual respect and mutual understanding of the opinions expressed Third, believe that empowerment will bring benefits to the school being led. While the inhibiting factors in the empowerment are: the number of administrative staff still little, the education level of administrative staff is still low, and the lack of funding to implement empowerment.

Abstract

One of the educational problems that our nation is currently facing is the issue of the quality of education. Various attempts have been made to improve the quality of national education, including through various training and improvement of teacher competencies, procurement of books and learning tools, improvement of educational facilities and infrastructure, and improving the quality of school management. Leadership is one of the factors that determine the successful implementation of SBM. School Based Management gives flexibility to schools to manage their potential by involving all elements of stakeholders to achieve improvements in the quality of the school. Because schools have very broad authority, the presence of a leader figure is very important. An understanding of the nature of leadership. In implementing SBM, School Based Management gives flexibility to schools to manage their potential by involving all elements of stakeholders to achieve improvements in the quality of the school. In implementing SBM, principals need to have strong, participatory, and democratic abilities. This research uses a qualitative approach in descriptive form. The use of descriptive methods in this study with the aim to describe an activity of implementing the leadership of the school principal in implementing school-based management which first analyzes the implementation process. The implementation of School Based Management (SBM) at Al-Masthuriyah Sukabumi High School is participatory. This management gives authority from the foundation to the school, and then the school delegates to each teacher and employee. All teachers and employees feel involved starting from planning, implementing, and evaluating school programs. The principle of decentralization considers that the problems that arise in schools will be adjusted as well as possible if the solution is left to the party closest to the existence of the problem. In resolving the problem of education in schools, the most knowledgeable about the problem are the residents of the school itself, especially teachers, staff, school principals and parents of students. The application of participatory management improves the quality and education services so that Al-Masthuriyah High School can compete and produce quality graduates both academically and non-academically. SBM will succeed well if school members have the initiative in carrying out their work and the initiative of each individual is appreciated. What happened at Al-Masthuriyah High School was the lack of school community initiative due to lack of ownership of the school.

Abstract

The role of the principal in implementing the quality management of learners is the activity of the principal responsible for the implementation of education, the school principal must be able to manage the management process from the planning, implementation, and to the evaluation stage of the outcome of learning, to achieve the success of the organization or institutions in achieving objectives and various objectives and ability to face various challenges, both external and , practices in the field, this can affect the performance of teachers in carrying out their duties in teaching and learners who receive the lesson, so that it can achieve the quality of education. The type of research used is field research, i.e. research that includes the facts and problems that exist in the field, with the method of research used is the descriptive qualitative research in SMK Darul Maghfiroh SInar Rejeki, District Jati Agung, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, with the technique of collecting data in this research include: observation, interviews, documentation, while the validity test of data is done with the triangulation technique, during the research is analysts , data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions. The role of the principal in the implementation of quality management by carrying out its duties precisely is planning, organizing activities, directing activities, implementing supervision, and implementing management management and organizing the school relationship with the community and other Instasi. The principal is the control holder in his school so that in organizing and implementing it all the headmaster can not do it alone, the principal should be able to invite and give a positive influence so that teachers and students can cooperate wholeheartedly, with such a purpose the school will be easier to achieve.
