<![CDATA[Along with the development of technology, there is currently a lot of information that can mislead the Christian faith of the congregation. Various social media and electronic media also greatly influence the development of the congregation's knowledge of heretical teachings that are not based on the Word of God in the Bible. The influence of freedom of expression, appreciation is a good thing, but if it has touched the realm of Christian Faith, then Pastors, Pastors of the Session must be sensitive to these issues. Contemporary issues of LGBT, heretical teachings that contradict the Bible that develop on social media can be carried in the church and become a congregational problem. Therefore, the researcher conducted this study aims to provide discourse to the Pastors, Pastors and Sheperd, in order to have good theological knowledge skills, so that in providing pastoral guidance and shepherding must be in accordance with the correct Christian Theology. In this study, researchers also raised the history of pastoral theology in correlation with theology and pastoral science, church leaders must have a good formal theological education, how the church overcomes the problems of contemporary issues. This research uses a qualitative method with data collection through literature study and analyzed to achieve useful results in the academic world.AbstrakSeiring perkembangan teknologi, saat ini berkembang banyak informasi yang dapat menyesatkan iman Kristen jemaat. Berbagai media sosial dan media elektronik juga sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan pengetahuan jemaat tentang hal-hal pengajaran-pengajaran yang sesat yang tidak berdasarkan pada Firman Allah dalam Alkitab. Pengaruh-pengaruh kebebasan berekspresi, berapresiasi adalah hal yang baik, akan tetapi jika sudah menyentuh rana Iman Kristiani, maka Para Pastor, Pendeta Gembala Sidang harus peka terhadap permasalahan-permasalah tersebut. Isu-isu kontemporer LGBT, ajaran-ajaran sesat yang bertentangan dengan Alkitab yang berkembang di media sosial dapat terbawa dalam gereja dan menjadi permasalahan jemaat. Oleh karena itu peneliti melakukan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wacana kepada para Pastor, Pendeta dan Gembala, agar memiliki kemampuan ilmu teologi yang baik, sehingga dalam memberikan bimbingan pastoral dan penggembalaan harus sesuai dengan Teologi Kristen yang benar. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti juga mengangkat Sejarah teologi Pastoral korelasinya dengan Ilmu Teologi dan Penggembalaan, Pemimpin gereja harus memiliki Pendidikan formal teologi yang baik, bagaimana gereja mengatasi masalah-masalah isu kontemporer.
