Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction : The prevalence of anemia in Indonesia aged 15-24 years is 18.4%.  In women, most cases of anemia are caused by iron deficiency anemia.  Adolescent girls have a high risk of anemia, especially iron deficiency anemia because adolescent girls go through the menstrual cycle and adolescence requires higher nutrition for growth and development.  Education about anemia and balanced nutrition is needed to increase adolescent knowledge.  This study aims to determine the effect of education on the level of knowledge of adolescent girls in Jipurapah village about anemia and balanced nutrition. Method : This research design uses pre-experimental analytic with one group pre post test design to analyze the knowledge level of adolescent girls before and after the educational intervention.  The population is female adolescent in Jipurapah village.  The sample is a teenage girl in Jipurapah village who attends the MERETAS ASA Women's School (Anaemia and Stress Free Teenage Media).  The sampling technique used purposive sampling.Data analysis used t test (paired t-test). Results : Most of the respondents are in the age range of 16-18 years (43%), most of them have junior high school (43%) and high school (43%).  The level of knowledge of adolescent girls about anemia and balanced nutrition in the pre test obtained 52% level of sufficient knowledge and 48% level of good knowledge, while the post test obtained 9.5% level of sufficient knowledge and 90.5% level of good knowledge.  There is a difference between education and knowledge level with a significance value of 0.001.  There is a difference in the level of knowledge before and after education with a significance value of 0.000, which means that there is a significant effect of educational intervention on the level of knowledge of adolescent girls about anemia and balanced nutrition. Conclusions : There is a significant effect of educational intervention on the level of knowledge of adolescent girls about anemia and balanced nutrition in Jipurapah Village, Plandaan District, Jombang Regency.

Abstract

Background: Flood disaster is one of the most frequent disasters in Indonesia. Flood disaster management is needed in order to prevent disasters and minimize all risks of disaster impacts that occur. Innovations to increase public awareness of youth groups through programs Resilien Sity (Dusaster Preparedness in Adolescent with Virtual Reality Simulation). Objective: to determine the effect of VR simulation on the level of knowledge and disaster preparedness among adolescents in Bugasur Village. Method: The method of this research is pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample is 38 people and the sample is taken using a non-probability sampling method, the type of purposive sampling. Results: There is an effect of VR simulation on the level of community knowledge in dealing with flood disasters (p-value < 0.000, p-value < 0.05). There is no effect of VR simulation on community preparedness in dealing with flood disasters in Bugasur Village, Kedaleman, Gudo District, Jombang Regency (p-value < 0.302, p-value < 0.05). Conclusion: BPBD and OPD follow-up regarding the development of VR Simulations is needed in formulating various disaster policies. Subsequent research on replicating VR simulations in other locations that have a flood risk, as well as perception variables, with a larger population and sample.

Abstract

Objective: Increased Knowledge of future bride on Preparing Marriage and increasing the scope of guidance future bride in the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) with the application of E-CATIN. Methods: Quasy Experimental Research Design with pre-post-test two group (intervention group and control group). Results: Paired T-Test Sig values of 0.000< 0.05 in the E-CATIN intervention group, 0.011< 0.05 in the control group. Then the results of the Independent T Test are 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference Conclusion: The influence of the E-CATIN Application on the level of knowledge of prospective brides in wedding preparation includes physical health, mental health, economic welfare, spiritual and cultural adaptation in KUA Diwek District, Jombang Regency. The development of information systems and if applied positively also has a positive effect on the reach or achievement of future bride guidance in pre and post wedding preparation.

Abstract

Introduction: TURP procedure is recommended to treat symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) indicated for surgery. Irrigation method is the main factor in the success and evaluation of TURP syndrome. There is no ideal irrigation fluid or consensus result of the best irrigation fluid for TURP. Several irrigation materials have been developed related to effectiveness and cost considerations. Demineralized drinking water is an alternative for bladder irrigation of patients with TURP. The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of demineralized drinking water on serum electrolyte levels in patients before and after TURP. Methods: Using the pre-experiment method with a pre-post-test one group design approach, samples were selected using a purposive sampling technique of 15 respondents, analysis using the Wilcoxon signed ranks test. Results: The results of the univariate analysis showed that almost all respondents received an irrigation volume of 20 liters (93.3%), most respondents were irrigated for 60 minutes (73.3%). The sig.(2-tailed) value of serum Sodium 1.00 > 0.05, Potassium 0.655 > 0.05, and Chloride 0.655 > 0.05, showed no significant difference in the average results of serum electrolyte examination between pre and post-test. Conclusions: There is no effect of using demineralized drinking water as a bladder irrigation fluid in TURP procedures on serum electrolyte levels in BPH patients. The results of this study provide a strong basis for considering the use of demineralized drinking water as an option in clinical practice for bladder irrigation in TURP procedures.

Abstract

Background: Disasters are life-threatening events, whether caused by natural, non-natural, or human factors. Globally and nationally, the frequency of disasters continues to increase, with floods being the most prevalent type. Children and adolescents (aged 13–18) are a highly vulnerable population due to limited understanding of disaster mitigation. This vulnerability is particularly evident in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Jombang Regency. The location of the Islamic boarding school, flanked by three major rivers (the Gedang, Gude, and Tambak Beras Rivers), places it at high risk of flooding. Furthermore, dense building density, untidy electrical installations, and the use of unsafe electronic devices increase the risk of fire. The lack of mitigation education and adequate infrastructure exacerbates the potential for loss of life in Islamic boarding schools. This study highlights the need to strengthen disaster preparedness for students as an effort to reduce disaster risk in religious-based educational institutions. Objective: This study to identify determine the relationship between the level of disaster knowledge and disaster preparedness among male and female students at Islamic boarding schools. Methods: This article used a quantitative research method with a cross-sectional design. Univariate analysis was used to analyze the data by creating a frequency distribution based on the categories of each variable. Bivariate analysis used the Spearman Rank Test. Results: The results of statistical tests using the Spearman Rank Test obtained a significance value of p = 0.0 (p < 0.05) with a correlation value of r = 0.505. This indicates that there is a fairly strong positive relationship between the level of knowledge and disaster preparedness of male and female students at Islamic Boarding Schools. Conclusion: There is a significant, positive, and fairly strong relationship between disaster knowledge levels and disaster preparedness among Islamic boarding school students.
