Abstract

One of the novels that are of interest to readers is because they contain the cultural culture of a society. For this reason, the importance of the study of the artistic elements contained in the novel. The purpose of this study was to describe the artistic elements contained in the Sirkus Pohon novel by Andrea Hirata. The data in this study are the Sirkus Pohon novel by Andrea Hirata. The research method uses the method of literary anthropology. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques by reading and recording research data. Test the validity of the data using member check and validation of literary anthropologists. Data analysis techniques are by analyzing quotations containing art, connecting the findings of art with the culture that exists in the text, and interpreting art culture contextually. The results showed that in the Sirkus Pohon novel by Andrea Hirata contains variations of artistic elements, namely drama (theater), literary arts, painting, drawing art, interior design, architectural design, and kria art. All elements of the art are displayed and add insight into the culture of the Belitung community.

Abstract

Kirana Kejora lahir pada tanggal 2 Februari 1972 di Ngawi, Jawa Timur. Ia adalah penulis Indonesia yang terpilih sebagai salah satu Tokoh Inspiratif Sidoarjo 2013. Karya- karyanya berupa artikel, cerpen, dan puisi dimuat di berbagai media cetak. Ia juga produktif menulis novel dan script film, baik layar lebar maupun film televisi. Sebelum memutuskan sebagai penulis penuh waktu, Kirana adalah peneliti Sosial Ekonomi Perikanan Unibraw (1991-1993), Staff pengajar pada SMK Dipasena Citra Darmaja, Lampung (1996-2000), Staf Ahli Sosial Ekonomi proyek Management Monitoring Cosultant JBIC-DPK di Sulawesi Tenggara (2000-2001) Staff pengajar pada Universitas Hang Tuah Surabay (2003-2004), dan wartawati tabloid Infotainment Fenomena (2003-2004). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian perpustakaan dengan menggunakan metode dinamika kepribadian tokoh atau teori psikoanalisis. Peneliti mengkaji kepribadian dari tokoh-tokoh untuk menentukan id, ego dan super ego. setelah itu peneliti akan mengelompokkan kepribadian dari tokoh Langit id, ego dan super ego berdasarkan kutipan yang ada di dalam novel

Abstract

his study explores the impact of implementing Picto Textual Glosses Text in vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension among beginners at Ibnul Fallaah Islamic Boarding School in Desa Bangsal, OKI. Employing a one-group pretest-posttest design, the study involved 15 eleventh-grade students. The results revealed a slight decrease in the average post-test score (83.42) compared to the pre-test (84.25), with a significance level of 0.416, indicating no statistically meaningful difference. Nevertheless, individual student performance varied, with the highest score increasing from 95.00 to 96.25. These findings suggest that although the method shows potential in supporting individual progress, it may not yield broad learning gains within a limited intervention period. The study underscores the need for longer and more contextual implementation of visual-verbal strategies, particularly in religious educational environments where multimedia access is often limited.
